About Ziplines

Ziplines Education is a category-leading education company that partners with universities to deliver industry-focused certificate courses that prepare professionals for today’s digital-first workforce. Each year, we have the opportunity to help thousands of career advancers build the knowledge, skills, and credentials they need to move their careers forward. 92% of learners would recommend our programs, and our net promoter score is consistently in the excellent range. Together, we empower adult learners to confidently pursue the career they’ve always wanted.

About the Role

Ziplines is expanding rapidly, and we’re increasing our pace of product and course launches. To support this growth, we’re hiring a Product Operations Manager to drive coordinated, high-quality launch execution across Product, LXD, Marketing, Partnerships, and Operations.

In this role, you’ll be the operational force that keeps cross-functional teams aligned and moving. You’ll design and manage the systems that make launches predictable, efficient, and high-impact — ensuring that every GTM motion is clear, coordinated, and on time. While your core focus will be execution and GTM readiness, you’ll also take on select strategic initiatives that help Product scale as we grow from 1–2 to 6+ launches per year.

If you excel at creating clarity in fast-moving environments, enjoy orchestrating complex work across teams, and love turning strategy into smooth execution, this role is made for you.

What You’ll Do
  • Own and run the end-to-end launch process for new courses, product releases, partner programs, and major GTM initiatives.

  • Manage cross-functional launch cadences, including weekly standups, readiness reviews, and go/no-go checkpoints.

  • Build lightweight systems in Notion or Airtable that improve visibility into timelines, milestones, owners, and dependencies.

  • Ensure teams are aligned on goals, messaging, KPIs, and GTM requirements ahead of every launch.

  • Translate complex updates from Product, Marketing, or LXD into simple, actionable plans and clear next steps.

  • Identify risks early, manage dependencies, and drive resolution — stepping in tactically when needed and escalating when appropriate.

  • Improve the efficiency and consistency of our GTM and launch processes over time, reducing friction and increasing speed.

  • Lead select strategic operational initiatives that strengthen how Product works with cross-functional teams.

  • Create clarity and calm in situations where information is ambiguous, priorities shift, or multiple stakeholders need alignment.

  • Serve as a trusted operator and thought partner to Product leadership, helping us scale our launch engine as the portfolio grows.

Who You Are
  • 3–7 years in program management, product operations, strategic PMO, or similar cross-functional roles; preferably in the education or EdTech space.

  • A builder, not just an operator — you thrive in environments where systems don’t exist yet and you’re excited to create clarity, structure, and workflows from scratch.

  • Experienced driving GTM execution and cross-functional launches, ideally in a startup or high-growth environment where ambiguity is the norm.

  • A clear, concise communicator who can distill complexity into simple, actionable direction that busy teams can execute on.

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple simultaneous launch cycles without losing the thread.

  • Strong business acumen — you understand the “why” behind product decisions and can anticipate risks, tradeoffs, and cross-functional impacts.

  • Calm and solutions-oriented when priorities shift or information is incomplete; you bring order to chaos without over-engineering.

  • Skilled at influencing without authority — you create alignment and momentum across Product, LXD, Marketing, Partnerships, and Operations.

  • Pragmatic and simplicity-focused: you build lightweight, scalable systems rather than heavy processes.

Our core values:

  • Focus on outcomes — students come first, always.

  • Be trustworthy — deliver, be honest, have our backs.

  • Be humble — we’re in this together.

  • Be curious — continuous learning drives innovation.

  • Be you — diverse thinking creates opportunity.

  • You value and will contribute to a transparent, no B.S. culture.

Perks and benefits at Ziplines Education (full-time employees):

Equity: Ownership is a core value, and each full-time employee can invest in Ziplines Education via a stock option (equity) grant, which will vest across four years.

Individual compensation packages are based on a few different factors unique to each candidate, including their skills, location, experience, qualifications, and other job-related considerations.

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
