About the Opportunity

 

As a key member of the Product Management team, the Product Operations Manager will be responsible for bridging product innovation with operational execution. This role owns the process of preparing new features for internal consumption—coordinating Engineering, Product, QA, and cross-functional teams to ensure readiness across operations, training, and support functions. A critical responsibility is organizing and consolidating requirements from internal stakeholders (Operations, Back Office, IT, Training, etc.) into clear, actionable specifications for OBT and partner teams. Working closely with Product Marketing on external launches, this position focuses on reducing time-to-readiness, driving cross-functional alignment, and scaling internal processes as Direct Travel grows. The ideal candidate combines strong process design and analytical skills with the ability to manage complex coordination across technical and operational teams.


This is a remote position.


Key Responsibilities  


Process Optimization

  • Establish, document, and refine internal processes to enable effective scaling across product and engineering teams
  • Partner with agent efficiency, training, operations, implementation and GTM teams to ensure E2E process is documented prior to launch

Launch Operations & QA Coordination

  • Drive end-to-end operational launch planning and execution, coordinating Engineering, Product, QA, and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Consolidate requirements and feedback from internal teams into actionable launch specifications
  • Create operational and internal launch documentation, product briefs, and feature specifications

External System Integration & Feature Usage

  • Partner with Engineering and Product teams (both internal and external) to define end-to-end external system feature usage and integration points across the DT platform
  • Ensure external system capabilities are properly mapped to product workflows and customer use cases
  • Document requirements and feedback to internal and external product teams in a clear outcome focused manner
  • Nurture relationships with external partner teams, tracking delivery progress and ensuring alignment throughout the feature lifecycle

Feedback Integration

  • Establish feedback loops from internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Synthesize and prioritize feedback to inform product roadmap and feature prioritization for bother internal and partner product roadmaps

Data & Analytics

  • Use data analytics to inform product decisions and identify operational improvements
  • Track key operational and launch metrics

 

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 5+ years’ experience in product operations, product or customer support, program management or equivalent role
  • Experience with travel industry systems and technologies
  • A demonstrated record of partnering with teams across an organization to influence and achieve business results across multiple teams who may have different goals
  • Collaborative working style demonstrated by partnering with cross functional teams
  • Ability to clearly summarize problems, ask focused questions and implementing guidance with minimal rework
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions
  • Outstanding communication (both verbal and written) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where continuous innovation is a must
  • Willingness to roll up your sleeves and do whatever is necessary; general manager / owner mentality
  • Positive attitude and fit with the Direct Travel team culture
