Zayo is seeking a Product Marketing Specialist who will be responsible for defining, messaging, and positioning the value of Zayo’s managed services portfolio in the market. Working closely with both the Product Management and Marketing teams, our Product Marketing Specialist will launch new products and solutions; enable global sales and channel teams; build go-to-market strategies; and evangelize new innovations with customers and prospects. An attention to detail and eye for quality are critical to success, along with an ability to grasp and present product value propositions to different market segments in a way that resonates and clearly articulates how we solve our buyers’ problems.  Success in the role will be based on achieving revenue targets by product line.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop deep expertise in your product line, leveraging a variety of data sources to understand market trends, competitor strategies, customer requirements, and buying behavior to identify market opportunities and customer demand.

  • Provide input and recommendations into the product roadmap, strategy, and pricing based on sales, market and customer research finding, industry analyst interactions, and competitive findings.

  • Develop and activate positioning, buyer personas, value propositions, and messaging that differentiate Zayo in the marketplace and resonate with target audiences.

  • Collaborate with other marketing functions such as revenue marketing, corporate marketing, and channel marketing to ensure Zayo’s products, solutions, and services are accurately reflected in programs, campaigns, digital marketing, events, etc.

  • Partner with sales enablement to support educating the sales about the value of  Zayo’s products, solutions, and services.

  • Oversee the production of product related content including (but not limited to) white-papers, presentations, blogs, case studies, solution briefs, web content, battlecards, and sales playbooks.

  • Build and execute product launch strategies, in partnership with Product Management and broader Marketing teams.

  • Develop materials for analyst engagements.

  • Act as a subject matter expert at key industry events.

Qualifications: 

  • Minimum of four (4) years of product marketing experience with exposure in a market-facing role (e.g. conducting competitor analysis and market research).

  • Analytical approach that can rapidly assess a business problem, structure and evaluate.

  • Strong research abilities including customer segmentation and competitive intelligence.

  • Strong writing skills, with experience publishing product-centric content like blogs, e-books, whitepapers, etc.

  • Ability to quickly deliver executive-level presentations which enable us to up level and act on data and insights real-time.

  • Demonstrated experience in product and technology marketing, including the ability to take technical concepts and communicate them to both business and technical audiences.

  • Compelling storyteller with a strategic and analytical mindset who can engage and educate customers and prospects. 

  • Ability to handle multiple time-sensitive projects and thrive in a fast-paced, transformation-oriented environment.

  • Strong persuasion skills and able to gain consensus through influence.

  • Ability to work in a matrixed organization with a virtual team.

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or marketing; or relevant experience

Estimated Base Salary Range: $61,100 - $94,000 USD/annually.

The base pay range shown is a guideline and reasonable estimate for this role. It takes into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions. Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted range based upon geographic location, work experience, skill level, certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Non- sales roles may be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive plan. Sales roles may be eligible to participate in a sales incentive plan.

Additionally, this position may be eligible for certain benefits, such as health insurance, life insurance, disability retirement plans, paid time off.

The posting will be active for a minimum of 3 days. The active posting will continue to extend by 3 days until the position is filled.
