Who You Are

Swoogo’s marketing team is on the hunt for a Product Marketing Manager—someone who’s equal parts storyteller, strategist, and market detective. You thrive on translating product capabilities into clear, compelling narratives that resonate with real people. If you love diving into ICPs, personas, and competitive research, and then bringing those insights to life in messaging that cuts through the noise, you’ll fit right in.

You believe product marketing isn’t just about features, it’s about outcomes. You know how to frame value in a way that drives both excitement and adoption, whether through a sales conversation or directly inside the product. You get excited about Product-Led Growth strategies, from building onboarding flows that accelerate time-to-value, to crafting in-app messaging that nudges customers toward deeper adoption, to uncovering insights from usage data that fuel expansion.

At Swoogo, we’re passionate about building events that bring people together—not as a transaction, but as a genuine connection—and that fuels your energy. You believe people don’t buy software, they buy better ways to succeed, and you’re eager to arm our teams and customers with the knowledge to do just that.

You’ll collaborate with Product & Engineering, Sales, Enablement, and CX to make sure our story lands consistently in the market. You’re a communicator, a collaborator, and a self-starter who thrives in fast-paced environments. Reporting to the Senior Director of Product Marketing, you’ll play a key role in shaping how we launch, scale, and differentiate—while also making sure the product itself tells the story through every click and interaction.

About the Role

In this role, you will:

  • Translate product capabilities into customer value propositions that drive sign-ups, activations, and expansions.
  • Partner with Demand Gen to create campaigns that tie product value to pipeline and revenue.
  • Analyze user journey metrics (activation, adoption, conversion, churn) to identify friction points and opportunities.
  • Contribute to positioning and messaging for Swoogo’s platform, ensuring it resonates with our ICPs and differentiates Swoogo in the market.
  • Own product launches from end-to-end in collaboration with Product & Engineering, Sales, Marketing, and CX (positioning → messaging → sales enablement → measurement).
  • Create sales enablement resources (key messaging, battlecards, sales decks, landing pages) that help our teams close deals faster and smarter.
  • Conduct market, competitive, and customer research to uncover insights that shape product roadmap and GTM strategy. Package insights up for sales and update regularly.
  • Translate technical features into compelling content (blog posts, web copy, videos, webinars) that highlight customer outcomes and product ROI.
  • Enable internal teams (Sales, CX, Marketing) with consistent, up-to-date product knowledge and competitive intelligence.
  • Build strong relationships with Product & Engineering teams to bring the voice of the market into roadmap decisions.
  • Design and optimize onboarding flows, freemium trials, or product tours to improve time-to-value.
  • Work with in-app engagement and messaging platforms (Appcues) to educate and convert users.
What You’ve Done Before
  • 3–5 years of B2B SaaS product marketing experience, with hands-on involvement in Product-Led Growth (PLG) strategies.
  • Success supporting GTM motions for product launches and driving adoption post-launch.
  • Has supported a multi-product organization.
  • Strong storytelling skills—you can distill technical concepts into crisp, compelling messaging.
  • Experience creating sales enablement content that empowers teams to win.
  • Experience designing and optimizing onboarding flows, freemium trials, or product tours to improve time-to-value.
  • Familiarity with marketing and sales tools (Hubspot, Salesforce, Highspot, or equivalents).
  • Track record of collaborating with Product, Sales, and Marketing to deliver results.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; you can adapt tone and format to audience and channel.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Comfort using market research, win/loss analysis, and data to guide strategy and decisions.
It’d Be Great if You’ve Done This
  • Experience in the event technology or martech space.
  • Familiarity with in-app engagement and messaging platforms (Appcues, Pendo, WalkMe, or similar).
  • Familiarity with analyst relations and how to influence category leadership.
  • Experience supporting industry events.
  • Knowledge of project management platforms such as Asana or Notion.

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
