This role will work closely with Sales and Product teams to define solutions tailored to the unique needs of insurance carriers, reinsurers, and asset managers. The primary focus is on identifying industry pain points, shaping product-market fit, and developing compelling messaging that aligns with insurers' investment accounting and regulatory reporting requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Product Positioning & Messaging

  • Develop and refine product positioning, messaging, and value propositions specifically for the insurance sector, ensuring clear differentiation from competitors.

  • Translate investment accounting, regulatory compliance, and risk management challenges into compelling value-driven narratives that resonate with CFOs, controllers, investment accountants, and compliance teams.

  • Ensure messaging is aligned with regulatory requirements such as NAIC investment schedules, IFRS reporting, statutory accounting principles, and tax compliance.

Market Research & Competitive Intelligence

  • Conduct deep industry research to stay ahead of emerging regulations, insurance accounting trends, and risk management requirements.

  • Continuously analyze the competitive landscape within investment accounting and compliance software, identifying key differentiators.

  • Act as the internal expert on insurance accounting workflows, providing strategic insights to the product, sales, and executive teams.

Client-Centric Strategy

  • Partner with sales, client success, and product teams to synthesize client feedback into actionable insights, ensuring that marketing efforts align with industry needs.

  • Develop detailed buyer personas and customer journey maps for insurance carriers, reinsurers, and asset managers.

  • Anticipate future regulatory and accounting shifts, positioning Clearwater Analytics as the go-to partner for compliance-driven investment accounting solutions.

Go-to-Market Strategy & Execution

  • Lead go-to-market strategies for new features, enhancements, and regulatory updates, ensuring smooth adoption by insurance and financial services clients.

  • Develop and execute integrated marketing campaigns, working closely with demand generation and content teams to create impactful thought leadership, whitepapers, and case studies.

  • Collaborate with regional marketing teams to tailor messaging for key markets, including North America, EMEA, and APAC.

Sales Enablement

  • Create high-impact sales enablement materials, including product guides, presentations, one-pagers, and ROI calculators tailored for insurance CFOs, compliance officers, and investment teams.

  • Provide ongoing sales training, equipping teams with the knowledge to articulate Clearwater’s advantages over legacy systems and competitors.

  • Design cross-sell and upsell strategies, driving further adoption of Clearwater’s platform within insurance enterprises.

Strategic Vision & Planning

  • Define and execute a long-term product marketing strategy, ensuring Clearwater remains the leading provider of cloud-based investment accounting solutions.

  • Analyze marketing performance data to refine messaging and improve campaign effectiveness.

  • Work closely with executive leadership to align marketing strategies with revenue growth objectives.

Role Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA is a plus.

  • 7+ years of product marketing experience, with expertise in the insurance or financial industry is a must.

  • Proven ability to craft go-to-market strategies for complex financial software solutions.

  • Exceptional ability to translate financial, accounting, and compliance concepts into clear, compelling marketing materials.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to marketing.

  • Experience working cross-functionally in B2B SaaS, particularly in the financial services sector.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.

What We Offer

  • Exposure to cutting-edge investment accounting technology used by top-tier insurers and financial institutions.
