What You'll Do

The Marketing and Communications team at Mapbox is responsible for shaping the company's public image and promoting its cutting-edge location technology solutions. Through building strategic campaigns, high-quality content, and excellent documentation, the team effectively communicates Mapbox value to customers, prospects, developers, partners, and stakeholders. Our goal is to highlight product features, share customer success stories, and build brand awareness, showcasing Mapbox as the leading location technology company.

As an Industry Product Marketing Manager, you will drive the positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategy for Mapbox’s industry-specific solutions in telecommunications and on-demand logistics, while supporting additional industries on an ad-hoc basis. Acting as the voice of the customer, you will gain deep insights into industry needs, trends, and challenges to shape impactful marketing strategies. Your contributions will directly influence product development, sales, and customer engagement, ensuring Mapbox delivers tailored, customer-centric solutions. You will report to the Global Head of Marketing and Communications.

  • Conduct in-depth research and analysis on market trends, competitive landscapes, and customer challenges within telecommunications and on-demand logistics industries.

  • Gather customer and partner feedback to shape product messaging, feature prioritization, and positioning.

  • Develop and maintain detailed buyer personas and market segmentations for each target industry.

  • Create and execute go-to-market plans for Mapbox solutions tailored to telecommunications and on-demand logistics industries.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Sales, and Demand Generation teams to align on objectives, timelines, and deliverables.

  • Identify and prioritize marketing opportunities to drive revenue growth and enhance market presence.

  • Develop and manage a portfolio of high-impact marketing content, including case studies, whitepapers, blogs, and webinars, that communicates Mapbox’s value proposition for each industry.

  • Establish Mapbox as a thought leader through speaking engagements, co-branded content, and collaborations with industry experts.

  • Provide Sales teams with industry-specific tools, including competitive positioning, pitch decks, battle cards, and demo scripts.

  • Deliver product training and guidance to enable effective customer engagements.

  • Plan and execute marketing campaigns and events (e.g., webinars, trade shows) to generate leads and nurture existing relationships in target industries.

  • Collaborate with Demand Generation to create industry-specific campaigns that drive pipeline growth.

  • Monitor, analyze, and report on the performance of marketing campaigns and initiatives.

  • Use data-driven insights to optimize strategies and demonstrate ROI to key stakeholders.

 

What We Believe are Important Traits for This Role
  •  8+ years of Product Marketing or Solutions Marketing experience. You are experienced in building go-to-market strategy, executing marketing campaigns by email, social, content marketing, ads, and other channels.

  • Experience or deep understanding of the telecommunications and/or on-demand logistics industries is highly preferred.

  • Proven ability to develop and execute go-to-market strategies that align with business objectives and drive revenue growth.

  • Exceptional storytelling skills with a talent for crafting clear, persuasive, and engaging content tailored to target audiences.

  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills. Experience working closely with Product, Sales, and Customer Success teams.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to convey complex ideas simply and effectively.

  • Proficiency in analyzing market trends, customer feedback, and campaign performance to make data-driven decisions.

  • Comfort with technology, particularly SaaS products and geolocation solutions, with the ability to translate technical features into business benefits.

  • Highly motivated, proactive, and adaptable to fast-paced environments.

Our annual base compensation for this role ranges from $152,150 - $205,850 for most US locations and 5% to 10% higher for US locations with a higher cost of labor. Job level and actual compensation will be decided based on factors including, but not limited to, individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process (including skills and prior relevant experience, potential impact, and scope of role), market demands, and specific work location.
