NMI is looking for a Product Marketer who can think strategically about the future of payments while executing effectively to drive results today. In this role, you’ll develop compelling positioning, messaging and value propositions that reach NMI’s diverse audience across multiple industry verticals. You’ll conduct market analysis, competitive research, shape messaging and positioning, and lead go-to-market strategy to support product launches and enable sales and marketing success.

You’ll work cross-functionally to bring new products and features to market, tailoring narratives for a variety of partner and buyer personas—SaaS/ISVs (Independent Software Vendors), ISOs (Independent Sales Organizations), banks, fintechs, and more—while using market insights to inform business decisions. This is both a strategic and hands-on role, ideal for someone who thrives on clarity, collaboration, and action.

Success in this role requires experience in product marketing for SaaS or payments businesses, with a deep understanding of ISOs and ISVs, their verticals, buying journeys, and decision-making processes in both the U.S. and EU.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter and strong communicator with experience in payments, a track record of cross-functional collaboration, and familiarity with go-to-market planning. Experience or interest in persona and buyer journey development is a plus.

Responsibilities
  • Go-to-Market Strategy & Execution
    • Own product positioning and messaging by crafting clear, differentiated narratives for diverse personas—channel partners, product leaders, developers, and merchant acquirers
    • Develop and execute comprehensive go-to-market strategies for new product launches and feature releases
    • Create positioning and messaging frameworks that differentiate our solutions in competitive markets
    • Design and implement multi-channel marketing campaigns to drive product adoption and revenue growth
    • Drive messaging and packaging decisions that optimize platform adoption
  • Market Intelligence & Customer Insights
    • Leverage understanding of the competition and ecosystem, coupled with product knowledge and emerging trends, to influence product and business development decisions
    • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities and threats and develop competitive battle cards
    • Gather and synthesize customer feedback to inform product roadmap and marketing strategy
    • Develop deep understanding of buyer personas, purchase processes, and decision criteria
    • Monitor industry trends and translate insights into actionable marketing strategies
  • Content Creation & Thought Leadership
    • Craft compelling narratives that simplify complex technical concepts, and address the payment challenges of our partners and their customers. Ensure messaging resonates with both technical and non-technical audiences, demonstrating the value of NMI’s product offerings.
    • Create compelling and functional sales enablement materials that help sales teams crisply and consistently articulate product value
    • Orchestrate marketing campaigns across multiple channels including merchant communications, digital campaigns, PR, and events
    • Develop product documentation and sales collateral that clearly communicates value propositions
    • Create and deliver compelling presentations and video content for internal stakeholders, customers, and industry events
    • Partner with channel/partner marketing and demand generation teams to optimize content for lead generation and nurturing campaigns
    • Edit, write, and produce compelling messaging for internal and external audiences across multiple touchpoints including online, PR, and sales communications
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Work with marketing teams to develop collateral for cross-channel campaigns that drive successful platform adoption and revenue growth
    • Leverage understanding of competition and ecosystem, coupled with product knowledge, to influence product and business development decisions
    • Partner with sales teams to develop winning strategies for key accounts and market segments
    • Collaborate with customer success teams to develop retention and expansion marketing programs
  • Evangelism & Advocacy
    • Act as a key evangelist for NMI’s product offering, representing the company at industry events, analyst briefings, and media engagements.
    • Understand payment industry trends, personas (from developer to C-level), and competitive landscapes with the ability to provide compelling value propositions and benefits to external stakeholders.
Essential Experience
  • 5-7+ years of product marketing experience developing and executing product messaging and positioning across marketing channels in payments, fintech, software, or SaaS environments
  • Strong understanding of the Fintech and payment ecosystems, including processors, gateways, developer tools, APIs and the payments landscape
  • Proven track record of successfully launching products and driving measurable business results
  • Experience working with technical products and ability to communicate complex concepts to diverse audiences
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging for different audiences—from developers to C-level executives
