At SmartBear, we believe building great software starts with quality—and we’re helping our customers make that happen every day. Our solution hubs—SmartBear API Hub, SmartBear Insight Hub, and SmartBear Test Hub, featuring HaloAI, bring visibility and automation to software development, making it easier for teams to deliver high-quality software faster. SmartBear is trusted by over 16 million developers, testers, and software engineers at 32,000+ organizations – including innovators like Adobe, JetBlue, FedEx, and Microsoft.

We are seeking a Product Marketing Manager to join SmartBear’s Atlassian-focused team, supporting our Zephyr and QTM4J product family. Together, these solutions represent the industry’s most widely adopted test management offerings for Jira, helping tens of thousands of teams plan, manage, and scale software testing inside the world’s most popular issue-tracking platform.

In this role, you will be responsible for building compelling narratives that showcase the value of Zephyr and QTM4J, not only as leading test management solutions in Jira, but also as enablers of AI-powered test automation with SmartBear HaloAI. In this role, you will drive product adoption across customer segments and empower our partners to extend that value to their clients.  You will lead feature launches, refine product positioning, and create content that highlights the differentiated value of SmartBear solutions in enabling faster, higher-quality software delivery.

You will collaborate closely with Product Management, Engineering, Sales, and Partner teams to bring product innovations to market. This role offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of Jira, Agile/DevOps workflows, and modern test management practices, shaping how we position our products in the market and how our partners help customers achieve quality at scale.

Key Responsibilities

  • Launch Excellence: Drive cross-functional go-to-market plans for Zephyr and QTM4J feature releases and product initiatives
  • Positioning & Messaging: Define product and feature messaging that resonates with QA engineers, testing team leaders and technical decision-makers
  • Sales Enablement: Equip sales and channel teams with effective messaging, battlecards, and competitive positioning to win in the Atlassian ecosystem
  • Content Development: Create technical and business-oriented marketing content that demonstrates ROI and best practices in Jira-native test management and automation
  • Metrics & Impact: Define and track success metrics that show product adoption and customer value realization
  • Customer Storytelling: Develop compelling customer case studies and use cases across industries and team sizes
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with engineering, sales, marketing, and Atlassian marketplace teams to align strategy and execution
  • Competitive Intelligence: Monitor competitors in the Atlassian Marketplace and shape differentiation strategies

Basic Qualifications

  • 6+ years of professional marketing experience in B2B technology
  • Familiarity with Agile, DevOps, and software testing practices, and ability to translate these concepts for both technical and business audiences
  • Proven ability to develop positioning, messaging, and GTM strategies for enterprise software products
  • Experience driving cross-functional marketing programs from concept to launch
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to translate technical concepts for various audiences

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience marketing Atlassian ecosystem apps, developer tools, or software testing solutions
  • Background in software development, QA/testing, or related technical fields
  • Competitive analysis skills with experience positioning against similar tools in crowded markets
  • Track record of successful SaaS or marketplace-based product launches
  • Strategic thinker with hands-on execution ability
  • Experience working with solution partners and channel-based B2B buying cycles
