Are you ready to help shape the story behind cutting-edge identity security? We are looking for an experienced Product Marketing Manager to lead the go-to-market (GTM) strategy, messaging, and content development for our visibility and advanced security offerings. In this role, you will define how SailPoint communicates the value of our identity security solutions to customers and the broader market.
As an experienced product marketer, you will drive thought leadership initiatives, messaging frameworks, and GTM strategies to position SailPoint at the forefront of identity security. You will collaborate closely with product management, sales, marketing, and leadership to craft compelling narratives, develop high-impact content, and execute GTM programs that elevate SailPoint’s advanced security story in the market. To be successful in this role, you must have a proven track record driving enterprise SaaS, security, and/or identity and access management product marketing initiatives, along with strong storytelling, communication, and cross-functional leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive Messaging & Positioning: Own and refine the narrative for SailPoint visibility and advanced security offerings and articulating how SailPoint addresses customer needs across security, governance, compliance, and risk.
- Develop GTM Strategies: Build and oversee comprehensive GTM plans that drive awareness, demand, and adoption globally.
- Content Creation: Create creative and compelling content across formats, executive briefs, white papers, sales decks, blogs, webinars, etc., that communicates value and drives engagement.
- Thought Leadership: Help establish SailPoint as the trusted authority in identity security through storytelling, content, and customer-focused narratives.
- Market & Competitive Intelligence: Analyze trends, customer challenges, and competitor positioning to inform differentiated messaging and GTM strategies.
- Sales & Partner Enablement: Deliver impactful enablement assets, plays, and training to equip global field and partner teams with clear, differentiated positioning.
- Measure & Optimize Impact: Help define success metrics for content, GTM, and enablement programs; track effectiveness; and refine strategies to maximize outcomes.
Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in product marketing, GTM strategy, or thought leadership, preferably within security, identity and access management, identity security, SaaS enterprise solutions.
- Demonstrated a track record of success creating and executing GTM initiatives and content strategies that drive measurable impact.
- Strong storytelling and communication skills, with experience presenting to executives, sales teams, and external audiences.
- Proven ability to create content that engages buyers and accelerates the sales cycle.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with product management, marketing, sales, and field teams to drive market alignment and execution.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving market landscape with the ability to adapt and refine messaging as identity security advances.
Education
MBA or equivalent preferred; BA/BS required
Travel
This position may involve approximately 10–20% travel.
Benefits and Compensation listed vary based on the location of your employment and the nature of your employment with SailPoint.
As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the SailPoint Corporate Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission, along with potential eligibility for equity participation. SailPoint maintains broad salary ranges for its roles to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect SailPoint’s differing products, industries, and lines of business. Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity. We estimate the base salary, for US-based employees, will be in this range from (min-mid-max, USD):
$116,600 - $166,600 - $216,600Base salaries for employees based in other locations are competitive for the employee’s home location.
