  • Develop business cases and cost-benefit analyses that demonstrate the value of strategic initiatives.
  • Provide regular updates and strategic recommendations to senior marketing leadership while proactively identifying risks and solutions.

What Makes You Successful

You are someone who:

  • Thinks strategically while executing with precision.
  • Enjoys solving complex business challenges with data and customer insights.
  • Can independently build roadmaps and lead enterprise initiatives from concept through implementation.
  • Communicates confidently with executives, technical teams, and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Thrives in fast-paced environments with multiple priorities.
  • Has an automation-first mindset and continuously looks for smarter, more scalable solutions.
  • Understands how meaningful customer communication drives engagement, loyalty, and long-term revenue.

Qualifications

We're looking for candidates who have:

  • Experience developing retention, lifecycle, or churn mitigation strategies for subscription-based businesses.
  • Experience communicating marketing capabilities and testing strategies to technical delivery teams and contributing to technical requirements.
  • A track record of independently leading enterprise-level strategic initiatives from discovery through execution.
  • Experience creating strategic roadmaps and managing complex portfolios with measurable business outcomes.
  • At least 2 years of communications, lifecycle marketing, or campaign strategy experience within a mid-sized or large enterprise.
  • Experience with streaming, app-based subscription, or video on demand platforms is highly preferred, though candidates from other subscription industries are encouraged to apply.

Skills That Will Set You Apart

  • Expertise in lifecycle marketing, customer retention, and strategic testing.
  • Strong understanding of customer segmentation, behavioral marketing, personalization, and marketing automation.
  • Ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders across Marketing, CRM, Governance, Revenue Marketing, Product, Analytics, Engineering, and IT.
  • Experience presenting strategy, performance, and recommendations to executive leadership (AVP/VP level).
  • Strong business acumen with experience developing business cases and evaluating ROI.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a solution-oriented mindset and a passion for continuous improvement.

Why This Opportunity?

This is an opportunity to make a measurable impact on the growth and success of a major subscription business. You'll help shape customer experiences, influence enterprise strategy, and work alongside talented teams solving meaningful marketing challenges using data, technology, and innovation.

If you're energized by customer lifecycle strategy, passionate about retention marketing, and excited to build programs that drive real business results—we'd love to hear from you.

  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
