THE ROLE: Product Manager

Britebound is national nonprofit that is changing the way kids learn about careers and prepare for their futures through access to career-readiness information and experiences.

Britebound fulfills its mission through free digital-first direct experiences, philanthropy, advocacy, thought leadership, groundbreaking research, and impact investing. We believe that exploring career possibilities, as early as middle school, and providing access to education-to-career pathways aligned with one’s passions and goals will result in greater confidence and long-term success for all students.

We are looking for a Product Manager to define product strategy, prioritize impactful features, and collaborate with designers, engineers, researchers, and educators to create engaging, user-centric career navigation tools. You’ll balance long-term vision with iterative execution, ensuring our platforms are accessible, scalable, and aligned with the needs of young job seekers. Ideal candidates are passionate about education, workforce development, and technology, with experience in product management, user research, and data-driven decision-making.

What You'll Do:

  • Product Strategy – Conducts research and develops a good understanding of the customer's needs, new technologies, market trends, and ecosystem players. Aligns digital solutions with the organization’s mission, goals, and stakeholder needs.
  • Roadmap & Requirements – Develops and maintains a product roadmap based on impact, feasibility, and resource constraints. Develops requirement documents, functional specifications, and mock-ups to clearly illustrate product ideas and concepts.
  • Lifecycle & Development - Participates in all phases of the product development lifecycle, including analysis, design, testing, and integration of products and introducing products to the market.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration – Works closely with internal teams, partner organizations, and the different user groups to coordinate and align the product roadmap and activities.
  • User-Centered Design – Advocates for end-user needs, ensuring accessibility and inclusivity in digital products. Develops product concepts and designs to facilitate market needs and user requirements.
  • Content & Engagement Strategy – Oversees the digital experience, ensuring compelling content and engagement.
  • Technology Partnerships – Identifies and collaborates with vendors, agencies, and tech partners for product design and implementation.
  • Data & Impact Measurement – Defines KPIs, track product performance, and reports on social impact.
  • Agile & Iterative Development – Leads an iterative approach, testing solutions with real users and refining based on feedback.
  • Compliance & Security – Ensures digital tools comply with data privacy regulations (COPPA, FERPA, etc.).
  • Training & Adoption – Supports staff, partners, and users in adopting digital solutions effectively.
  • Crisis & Risk Management – Prepares for potential digital risks, ensuring continuity and disaster recovery plans.

About You:

  • 2+ years of product management experience, preferably in edtech, workforce development, or social impact sectors.
  • Strong user research and data analysis skills to inform product decisions.
  • Experience in defining and prioritizing product roadmaps with cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies, prototyping, and iterative development.
  • Passion for youth empowerment, career readiness, and digital accessibility.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working in a nonprofit or mission-driven organization is a plus

Salary Range: $87,700 - $115,000 

Britebound is committed to fair and transparent pay. In determining compensation, we consider a variety of job-related factors, including prior experience, certifications and licenses, skills and expertise, geographic location, and internal equity.      

We take a total compensation approach, meaning we look beyond salary alone to support, reward, and recognize the whole individual. Depending on role eligibility, your offer may also include a bonus, 403(b) retirement plan participation, generous paid time off, and comprehensive health and life insurance benefits. As a result, final offer amounts may vary from the salary range listed in the job posting.
