Job Title: Senior Product Manager, Generative AI

Position Overview

We're enhancing our applications with cloud-native capabilities, including data at scale, edge computing, AI-based solutions, and advanced 3D modeling and graphics. This innovation is happening across our flagship products—AutoCAD, Revit, and Construction Cloud—and Forma, our new Industry Cloud.

As a Senior Product Manager for the AEC Solutions group, you will lead the exploration and development of cutting-edge Generative AI capabilities for the AEC industry cloud, Forma. You will work with AI Researchers, Machine Learning Engineers, Software Developers, and User Experience Researchers. You will define system requirements, set milestones, and lead the exploration of how to apply the latest foundation models and other AI-driven technologies to the AEC domain.

Report: You will report to the Senior AI/ML Development Manager in the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) Solutions Team. You may manage a team of contractors in this role.

Location: We support hybrid work, and you work near our Boston, Massachusetts or Toronto, Canada offices.

Responsibilities

  • Apply your understanding of AEC workflows and AEC data models to develop a comprehensive strategy for the exploration and development of AI foundation models for AEC.
  • Collaborate with customers, partners, and internal Experience and Strategy teams to understand pain points and requirements. Translate these insights into target use cases and workflows that address customer needs and prioritize the team's work.
  • Communicate system updates and strategy to partners, including executives and other company leaders.
  • Work with a diverse Research and Engineering team to explore AI algorithms, models, and technologies that can empower workflows in the AEC industry cloud, Forma.
  • Track project progress and technical specifications ensuring they continue to be accurate, up-to-date, and easily accessible to teams across the company.
  • Help the AI researchers and ML engineers prioritize their backlog

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in software product management roles, with at least 2 years of experience managing commercially available solutions.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or a related field (i.e., Engineering, or Construction).
  • Deep understanding of Generative AI and Machine Learning concepts and practices.
  • Experience managing teams with a collaborative and empowering approach.
  • Experience engaging with customers, executives, and cross-organizational teams.

Other Qualifications

  • Familiarity with SVPG or other high-quality product management training programs.
  • Deep experience in AI technology and practices, with a focus on how to apply AI in commercialized professional products.
  • Previous professional work in Architecture or related fields, with an understanding of the AEC industry workflows and customer problems.
  • Have a business degree.

Salary transparency

Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $134,000 and $216,700. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, our compensation package may include annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
