The role:
As a Product Manager, Digital Solutions, you will be responsible for identifying and specifying product initiatives and partnering with engineering for the full lifecycle of product development—from inception and prioritization, through design, specification, and development, and finally to launch, follow-up, and iteration. You will be the expert on the products we build and will have a deep understanding of the users and how they engage with the systems. You will care deeply about the quality of the products we ship, play a key role in the training and delivery of software to our users, monitor their impact on operations, and embrace accountability. Most importantly, you will have a huge impact on our members and our employees, partnering directly with our Senior Leadership Team.

Unless otherwise specified, this position is remote (work from home). Candidates must reside in one of the following states: Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, or Connecticut.

What you will do:

  • Oversee one or more product initiatives aligned with company and product goals and strategies.  Owns and manages backlog
  • Collaborates cross-functionally with Engineering, Data Analytics, Product and all cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that provide best-in-class products and are received with high satisfaction from our users and deliver on the expected outcomes
  • Owns ensuring clear acceptance criteria for planned solutions 
  • Identify important measures of success and use these to identify new opportunities from meeting expected outcomes
  • Demonstrates deep understanding of Ascent, Better Life Partners’ proprietary healthcare platform, its users and how they engage with the system
  • Advocates for users and ensures impact, usability and user satisfaction are taken into account with each change
  • Training & Onboarding: Leads training sessions and creates documentation to help onboard new internal users, ensuring they can utilize the platform effectively
  • Provides on-going training and documentation to support existing users
  • Continuous Improvement: Collaborates with other teams to support increased team velocity and the improvement of user satisfaction
  • Serves as a mentor to more junior team members

You are a good fit if you have:

  • 3-4 years experience as a Product Manager
  • Gifted at interfacing with and influencing stakeholders
  • Experience creating and communicating Product Requirements Documents (PRDs) or demonstrated strong analytical and writing skills
  • User-centric mindset with the capability to perform discovery and user research and translate into actionable work for teams
  • Able to distill product roadmaps into digestible and relevant presentations to key stakeholders
  • Strong ability to prioritize effectively and manage multiple initiatives concurrently
  • Excellent communication, collaboration and presentations skills 
  • Experience in Agile Software Development

It will also be great if you have:

  • Experience in healthcare is not required, but is a huge plus
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, in a technical field
  • Use of no-code tools
  • Familiarity with AI tools

Work location requirements:

  • BLP operates in hybrid and remote work environments, which allows us to better meet our members and partners where they’re located. Candidates applying for this role must be willing and able to travel locally within the communities we serve and/or travel to onsite meetings as expected in coordination with their department and business needs.

When working from home, the requirements include:

  • Must have reliable internet service with a fast upload/download ability
  • Ability to ensure any protected health or proprietary data/information is not visible (or audible)  to others in any work location
  • Must have a quiet space to speak to members, team members, or external partners with minimal background noise and distractions
