Role Summary
We are seeking a visionary Product Manager who blends product strategy, product marketing, and ecosystem leadership with a deep technical foundation in embedded or firmware engineering. This role operates across silicon, software, and open‑source ecosystems, shaping how ADI’s technology is adopted, understood, and valued across industries.
The ideal candidate began their career in embedded, firmware, or low‑level software engineering, then transitioned into product marketing or technical product management, and now thrives at the intersection of technology, customer value, and ecosystem influence. They bring a bold, proactive mindset, are comfortable challenging assumptions, and can scale their impact across multiple business units and customer verticals.
You will craft compelling value narratives, shape ecosystem‑aware roadmaps, engage with open‑source and standards communities, and represent ADI externally at conferences, trade shows, and customer meetings. This role requires strong external presence, technical credibility, and the ability to connect ADI hardware, software, and partner technologies into cohesive solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy, Vision & Discovery
- Define and evolve a clear product vision grounded in customer needs, ecosystem trends, and technical realities.
- Conduct continuous discovery to identify, validate, and prioritize customer and ecosystem problems.
- Translate insights into product hypotheses, value propositions, and measurable success metrics.
- Connect features to customer value, market impact, and ecosystem fit.
- Represent ADI with customers, partners, and technical communities at industry events and conferences.
Product Marketing, Ecosystem Activation & Content Leadership
- Translate silicon and software capabilities into compelling customer-facing narratives and ecosystem positioning.
- Develop technical marketing content, including solution briefs, value propositions, whitepapers, presentations, and partner collateral.
- Shape and execute go‑to‑ecosystem strategies, enabling adoption through documentation, SDK/toolchain alignment, and developer-centric practices.
- Engage in open‑source and standards communities; influence direction, adoption, and ecosystem alignment.
- Advocate bold strategic ideas and proactively challenge assumptions to elevate solution quality and differentiation.
- Work closely with Marketing and BU teams to ensure consistent messaging across regions.
Product Planning & Prioritization
- Own structured product intake, evaluation, and long‑term prioritization.
- Build multi‑release, ecosystem‑aligned roadmaps with Product Owners and engineering leaders.
- Prioritize investments based on customer value, ecosystem opportunity, and market potential.
- Ensure roadmaps reflect ADI’s broader cross‑industry solution goals.
Execution & Delivery Leadership
- Partner with engineering and Product Owners to shape scope, sequencing, and trade‑offs.
- Ensure product intent is accurately translated into requirements without prescribing implementation.
- Advocate developer experience, integration simplicity, and open‑source alignment throughout execution.
Cross-Functional Influence & Senior Communication
- Serve as the central product voice across engineering, marketing, sales, and multiple business units.
- Influence senior stakeholders through clear framing, structured narratives, and data-driven insights.
- Communicate strategy, roadmap, and ecosystem progress at VP and executive levels.
Product Practice & Leadership
- Raise the bar for product thinking, product marketing, and ecosystem engagement across ADI.
- Mentor other PMs and team members through coaching and example.
- Promote an ownership-driven mindset focused on customer value and long-term impact.
Qualifications & Experience
- Career foundation in embedded or firmware engineering, with hands‑on experience in low-level software, HW/SW integration, bootloaders, board bring-up, or embedded system design.
- Demonstrated progression into product marketing, solution marketing, or technical product management.
- Experience creating customer-facing technical content (e.g., solution briefs, whitepapers, value narratives, demos).
- Understanding of embedded systems, open-source software, developer workflows, and technical communities.
- Experience engaging with open‑source ecosystems, toolchains, SDKs, developer communities, or standards bodies.
- Strong external presence and confidence presenting at conferences, trade shows, and customer meetings.
- Proven ability to operate in ambiguous environments and drive strategic direction across cross-functional teams.
- Strong communication, influence, and collaboration skills with senior executives and external partners.
- Experience working across global regions (US, EMEA, APAC) is an advantage.
What Success Looks Like
- Clear, differentiated product value narratives that resonate with customers, partners, and developers.
- Growing adoption and pull from developer ecosystems, partners, and open‑source communities.
- Voice of the Customer visibly reflected in strategy, prioritization, and roadmap decisions.
- Senior leadership confidence in product direction, trade-offs, and execution.
- Products and solutions ship with clarity, coherence, and ecosystem‑aligned impact.
- The role elevates ADI’s perception as a solutions provider beyond silicon.
