About Supabase

Supabase is the Postgres development platform, built by developers for developers to help them ship countless products that people love. This scale means pricing is never a background concern: it's a core part of the product experience. Pricing at Supabase is a product decision that shapes whether a developer chooses us on day one, stays through hypergrowth, and never thinks about leaving.

We're looking for a Product Manager who sees pricing as one of the highest-leverage design problems in a company - not just a spreadsheet exercise or a sales enablement task, but as a craft where deep technical understanding, user empathy, and business instinct come together to create something developers rarely even think about. Your job isn't just to put price tags on features. It's to understand how developers use Supabase, where they find value, and design pricing structures that are honest, intuitive, fair and grow with them. The right pricing strategy rewards usage, punishes no one, and makes the decision to choose (and grow) with Supabase feel obvious.

This is a high-leverage, high-autonomy role. You'll work across Product, Engineering, Growth, and Sales, owning the intersection of product architecture and monetization strategy.

What You'll Own
  • Own the big bets. You will lead company-wide initiatives that reshape our monetization model. You will rethink how we bill for compute, unifying credits, and building toward a pricing architecture that scales to whatever Supabase becomes as we continue to ship bold new features and products. You will partner closely with product, engineering, finance, GTM and billing teams to design pricing systems that are transparent, predictable, and scalable across millions of developers.

  • Proactively reimagine our pricing strategy, planning for what's next. Work at the frontier of what we're building (new infrastructure primitives, capabilities for new workloads, expanding global infrastructure and more) and figure out how to price it in ways that feel fair and fuel growth. You will work directly with the company’s commercial leadership to evolve Supabase’s monetization strategy across PLG and enterprise channels.

  • Design and run pricing experiments across plans, usage dimensions, and packaging to understand elasticity, expansion behavior, and conversion impact across both PLG and sales channels.

  • Fix what's broken and find what's missing. Audit our existing plans with fresh eyes. Where are we creating friction? Where are we leaving value uncaptured? Where does our pricing accidentally punish the developers we most want to serve?

What You Bring

Core Experience

  • You have spent meaningful time (5+ years) at the intersection of Product and Growth at an infrastructure or database company with strong product-led growth in its DNA.

  • You've done this before, at a company where developers were the customer and pricing actually mattered, and you understand the different approaches needed to engage each customer in the right way at the right time across both PLG and Sales-led GTM motions.

  • You’re an expert in consumption-based billing models and have deep experience on how to build them right for not just a single product, but across a full suite of products and plans.

Pricing Strategy (essential)

  • You believe pricing itself is product and should be treated as one, from clear understanding of the customer experience to thoughtfully designed and well-executed experiments that measure elasticity, expansion behavior, and conversion impact across multiple channels (PLG, Sales-led). You've seen what bad pricing does to developer trust, and you can point to work you’re proud of where you've designed something better.

  • You move with urgency and taste. You don't wait for perfect information—you design experiments, ship, learn, and improve. But you also care about the details, because developers notice when you don't.

  • You can hold the whole picture. You're commercially literate at a deep level and understand how margin structure, infrastructure cost economics, LTV/CAC, and pricing decisions flow through to ARR expansion and the business's top and bottom line. You know pricing touches Product, Engineering, Sales, Finance and GTM leadership, and you have worked directly with these teams in the past to drive changes that benefit both our developers and the company.

Technical and Communication Skills

  • You have the technical depth to earn credibility. You understand infrastructure and how compute, storage, bandwidth, and egress play into developer experience and application architecture. You know what it feels like to read a pricing page as a developer making a real decision.

  • You earn trust quickly across very different audiences. A customer, an engineer and a CFO will all walk away from a conversation with you feeling like you understood their problem.

  • You are 100% comfortable in a remote environment. You default to writing things down. When something is ambiguous, you document it. When a decision is made, you circulate it. You don't need a meeting to move things forward.

What We Offer
  • Fully Remote

We hire globally. We believe you can do your best work from anywhere. There are no Supabase offices, but we provide a WeWork membership or co-working allowance you can use anywhere in the world.

  • ESOP

Every team member receives ESOP (equity ownership) in the company. We want everyone to share in the upside of what we’re building together.

  • Tech Allowance

Use this budget to set up your ideal work environment—laptop, monitor, headphones, or whatever helps you do your best work.

  • Health Benefits

Supabase covers 100% of health insurance for employees and 80% for dependents, wherever you are. Your wellbeing and your family’s health are important to us.

  • Annual Off-Sites

Once a year, the entire company gathers in a new city for a week of connection, collaboration, and fun. It’s a highlight of our year.

  • Flexible Work

We operate asynchronously and trust you to manage your own time. You know what needs to be done and when.

  • Professional Development

Every team member receives an annual education allowance to spend on learning—courses, books, conferences, or anything that supports your growth.

About the Team

Supabase was born-remote and open-source-first. We believe our globally distributed team is our secret weapon in building tools developers love.

  • 280+ team members

  • 55+ countries

  • 20+ languages spoken

  • $500M raised

  • 500,000+ community members

We move fast, build in public, and use what we ship. If it’s in your project, we probably use it in ours too. We believe deeply in the open-source ecosystem and strive to support—not replace—existing tools and communities.

Hiring Process

We keep things simple, async-friendly, and respectful of your time:

  1. Apply – Our team will review your application.

  2. Intro Call – A short video chat to get to know each other.

  3. Interviews – Up to four calls with:

    • Team Leads

    • Future teammates

    • Someone cross-functional from product, growth, or engineering (depending on the role)

    • Someone from our leadership/founding team

  4. Decision – We may follow up with a final question or go straight to offer.

All communication is remote and we aim to move fast.

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
