The Product Manager for Power will lead product vision and strategy in Power Distribution, define requirements, manage product lifecycle, and support go-to-market strategies.

Product Vision
The Product Manager - Power will help establish and support the product vision for the Low/Medium/High Voltage and Power Distribution segments, in concert with the Sr. Product Manager and deep market understanding, to inform the core and new product strategy.
The candidate will develop services that align with our segment's growth strategies. The Product Manager will also support and contribute to the go-to-market strategy for Low/Medium/High Voltage and Power Distribution equipment; developing business cases for new services, capabilities, and capacity; lead product management efforts, including defining product requirements, developing specifications, and managing the product lifecycle; describing how value will be delivered to the customer/user, how UL Solutions products are differentiated from the competition, and what the business model should be in a given market. This includes prioritization of product functions and features into a global product roadmap. The Product Manager monitors a set of product goals, outcomes and corresponding metrics to continually evaluate against and drive future activities and strategies. Evangelizing anA successful Product Manager will support an efficient cross-functional matrix structure to enable effective product development lifecycle management. They will execute a robust set of processes to power all parts of the product development lifecycle from research/discovery to release/launch management and product support.

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. The estimated salary range for this position is $140,000. to $160,000. and is based on multiple factors, including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, as well as other factors. This position is eligible for annual bonus compensation with a target payout of 20% of the base salary.
This position also provides health benefits such as medical, dental and vision; wellness benefits such as mental and financial health; and retirement savings (401K) commensurate with the standard rewards offered in each individual location or country. We also provide full-time employees with paid time off including vacation (15 days), holiday including floating holidays (12 days) and sick time off (72 hours).

Technical Skills
- Facilitation skills - ability to lead small to medium groups of internal and external stakeholders towards desired outcomes to meet business objectives.
- Interview skills - ability to conduct discovery sessions with clients, prospects and stakeholders in order to diagnose business opportunities, elicit requirements, and conduct other types of research and analysis.
- Strong communication and presentation (PowerPoint) skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Product management tools - product/service design, analysis (Power BI), product/service development task management and project management, documentation and knowledge (SharePoint), collaboration (e.g. Microsoft Teams), roadmap and portfolio management (and related software tools). d communicating the product vision, strategy and goals internally and externally is a critical responsibility of this role.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Experience
- University Degree (Equivalent to Bachelor's degree) in Engineering, Business, or a related discipline
- 5+ years of technical or business experience in Low/Medium/High Voltage, Power Distribution or a related industry field
- 5+ years of related discipline experience, formal training and/or certification in Product Management is a plus
- Operational commercial experience in a high-power/short-circuit testing lab environment with a deep understanding of the marketplace.
- Proven technical or business experience in Low/Medium/High Voltage, Power Distribution or a related industry
- Product Management experience
- Project management experience, with the ability to lead and coordinate complex projects.
- Experience working with remote teams is highly valued
- Professional certifications in project management (e.g., PMP) preferred
- Residence in or willingness to relocate to UL Solutions locations: Northbrook, IL, US; Neu-Isenburg, Germany; Carugate, Italy; or Fremont, CA, US.
