The Role

We’re hiring a Product Manager to own the Revel platform: how our software gets installed and kept current, how organizations control who can do what, and how customers build on top of it.

Revel runs test and control systems for teams building rockets, satellites, reactors, and other hardware where mistakes are expensive. Many customers run Revel in their own facilities, and some of those sites are fully air-gapped. An upgrade that fails, a permission that’s too broad, or an admin task that needs a Revel engineer on site is a real cost to them.

The platform spans access and administration, our APIs and SDKs, and our fleet manager to handle deployments and upgrades. You’ll own it from strategy through launch, and decide what the platform should do next.

What You’ll Do

  • Own access and administration: SSO, role-based access control, admin tooling, user preferences, and system health. Make Revel easy to pass through a security review and easy for customer IT to manage

  • Set the strategy for our APIs and SDKs: what we expose, how we version it, and what we commit to supporting

  • Partner directly with platform engineering on the big architectural choices, and own the product side of multitenancy, scale, and reliability tradeoffs

  • Run discovery with customer administrators, IT and security teams, and our forward deployed engineers to find where operating Revel costs the most time today

  • Own the deployment and upgrade experience end to end, from connected installs to fully offline sites, so customer administrators and our field engineers can upgrade safely and smoothly

  • Define and track the metrics that show whether the platform is working, such as upgrade success rate, time to upgrade, time to onboard a new organization, and support load per installation

Who You Are

  • You treat an API as a product with users, not an implementation detail

  • You don’t need fully defined requirements to start. You go deep on discovery, form a hypothesis, and get your hands dirty executing it

  • You work comfortably across engineering, design, sales, marketing, and executives, and you can explain technical tradeoffs to each of them

  • You have strong product judgment. You don’t just ship fast— you have a high bar for quality and take pride in delivering a well-rounded product experience to users. you’re comfortable making mistakes, and you take feedback seriously

Must-Haves

  • 5+ years of product management experience

  • Experience owning a platform, infrastructure, or enterprise product, such as deployment tooling, identity and access, admin experiences, or developer platforms

  • Strong technical fluency; you can work through architecture and tradeoffs with engineers and write them down clearly

  • Experience shipping products whose users include administrators, IT, or security teams

Plusses

  • Previous experience as a software engineer

  • Experience shipping software for on-premise or air-gapped environments

  • Experience with identity and access standards such as SAML, OIDC, or SCIM

  • Experience designing or managing public APIs and SDKs

  • Experience in aerospace, defense, energy, or another regulated or safety-critical domain

Team & Exposure

You’ll work alongside the engineers building our deployment, infrastructure, and runtime systems, and collaborate closely with design, front-end engineering, and our field deployment engineers who work directly with customers. You’ll have direct exposure to the Head of Product and CEO. Our feedback loops are tight: you’ll see how your decisions land with customers running real, high-stakes operations.

Why Revel

  • You’ll own the platform end to end, not execute against someone else’s specs

  • You’ll work on problems that don’t have existing playbooks

  • Join a deeply technical team building next-generation hardware test and control infrastructure

  • High ownership and visibility from day one

  • Competitive compensation and meaningful equity

Benefits

  • Health insurance — We offer comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage to support you and your family.

  • 401(k) — Save for your future with our 401(k) plan.

  • Equity — All full-time employees receive equity, ensuring that you share in Revel's success and growth.

  • Life insurance — Company-paid life insurance gives you and your family peace of mind.

  • Parental leave — We offer paid maternity and paternity leave to support new parents.

  • Catered lunch — We provide catered lunch five days a week, so you can stay fueled and focused.

  • Unlimited PTO — We trust you to take the time you need. Unlimited PTO for all full-time employees.

    ITAR Requirements

To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C. 1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C. 1158, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
