What is the role where you can make an impact?

Product Manager-Marketing:

The Product Manager will lead and manage the product line using a market-based approach. This role will develop and manipulate the product line plans globally for the division. This role also encompasses end-to-end product line ownership including product and market strategy deployment, product roadmap development, and overall product line management.

The ideal candidate should possess strong skills in conducting business and market assessments, evaluating business strategies and demonstrating excellent communication abilities to effectively develop and present their recommendations among Sales, Finance, Product Marketing and Communications. The candidate should also demonstrate fluency in stage-gate product development processes, pricing strategy, and cross-functional product commercialization.

What will you do?

Portfolio & Product Lifecycle Management and Innovation

  • Own and maintain the product plan which includes current portfolio ownership and future opportunities.
  • Analyze portfolio performance metrics including revenue, gross margin, volume, price realization, and market share, converting data into strategic actions.
  • Own the product roadmap, defining a 3–5-year horizon for new product introductions, reformulations, and portfolio rationalization via key trends to drive share gains, share of wallet increases, other future growth.
  • Establish and monitor product launch KPIs including adoption rate, trial-to-repeat, revenue ramp, and gross margin

Market Intelligence & Competitive Strategy

  • Develop and maintain a structured competitive benchmarking framework, tracking competitor product portfolios, pricing moves, and technology investments.
  • Conduct Voice of Customer (VOC) research and technology reviews with key Commercial partners and external customers to identify unmet needs and define new product offerings.
  • Monitor and drive action related to regulatory and sustainability trends that impact product formulation, packaging design, and market positioning.

Business Cases & Financial Accountability

  • Support Market and business revenue cases for an investment to move the business forward and secure profitable growth potential for IPS
  • Demonstrate qualitative and quantitative decision making for proposing business investments for the segment
  • Define and maintain pricing strategy and rebate governance for the product line.

Go-to-Market Strategy & Sales Enablement

  • Develop and execute go-to-market launch plans for new products including value proposition, channel strategy, pricing rollout, and sales training packages.
  • Partner with Demand Generation and Corporate Communications in developing sales and marketing tools for IPS
  • Create customer-facing technical and commercial collateral (data sheets, application briefs, battle cards, ROI calculators) that translate product capabilities into buyer value.

Customer & Market Development

  • Drive market connections through customer innovation meetings, tradeshow and industry conference attendance
  • Ability to tactically implement strategies, often requiring but not limited to in-market tasks relating to customer interactions, industry conferences, etc.

What skills do you bring to the role?

  • Minimum of 5–7 years of progressive experience in product management, product marketing, or commercial management in packaging, specialty chemicals, or similar manufacturing industries.
  • Experience working across multiple regions or global organizations is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree is required. MBA is preferred.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%

  • Strong financial acumen including profit management, cost structure analysis, and business case development.

  • Strong motivation and work ethic with the ability to work independently remotely, travel and balance multiple projects with competing deadlines
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Experience with ERP systems, CRM platforms, and project management tools, preferred.
