About Us:
We’re Trashie — the platform that turns recycling into instant rewards. Every time someone sends us clothes, shoes, or electronics through our Take Back Bag or Tech Box, they earn TrashieCash — points they can use for deals and rewards from brands they love. We’re growing fast and evolving how people interact with Trashie, expanding into new digital experiences that make sustainability feel personal and fun.

Join us in building the platform that makes sustainability second nature — and rewarding by design.
Role Overview
We’re looking for a hands-on Product Manager to help scale and evolve Trashie’s loyalty and rewards experience. This is an execution-focused role where you’ll translate ideas into features, manage the details, and ensure products get built and launched on time.

If you thrive on organizing, collaborating, and shipping products — and love the day-to-day work of backlog grooming, writing user stories, coordinating with design and engineering, and using customer insights and data to guide improvements and new features — this role is for you.

This position is ideal for a product manager with 3–5 years of experience, a strong mobile background, and a curiosity about how AI can enhance product development and user experience. You’ll be deeply involved in the craft of product management, driving clarity, momentum, and quality across everything we ship. Join us to help shape the next generation of reward experiences and bring Trashie’s mission to mobile.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end development of Trashie’s loyalty and rewards features across mobile and web.

  • Gather and synthesize customer feedback, research findings, and product data to inform improvements and new feature ideas.

  • Design and iterate on points, tiers, and redemption flows that drive engagement and retention.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to create reward campaigns and engagement initiatives that deepen user participation.

  • Translate product strategy into clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and sprint priorities.

  • Partner with design to ensure the rewards experience is simple, intuitive, and delightful.

  • Stay curious about new trends in gamification, loyalty, and consumer engagement.

  • AI Curiosity: Stay engaged with emerging AI tools and trends

What You’ll Bring

  • 3–5 years of experience as a Product Manager (mobile app experience required)

  • Demonstrated experience building or improving loyalty, rewards, membership, or gamification systems is required.

  • Bonus points if that experience was within a B2C consumer-facing product or mobile app environment

  • Strong organizational and delivery skills — thrives on keeping workstreams moving

  • Clear, structured communicator who works well with cross-functional teams

  • Comfort using analytics and user feedback to prioritize and validate decisions

  • Curiosity about emerging tech, including AI, and how it can enhance engagement

  • Flexible time off

  • Company-wide time off

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
