About the Role

We’re seeking a contract Product Manager of Integrated Care with deep experience in consumer healthcare  and platform products to help lead our insurance expansion. You’ll work closely with the VP of Product to design and guide the end-to-end insurance product experience - from eligibility checks to therapy fulfillment - ensuring our platform can handle both cash and insurance models without compromising user experience or operational efficiency.

What You'll Do

Insurance Channel Buildout

  • Lead the product introduction of insurance-based pathways for at-home sleep testing (HST) and DME therapy.
  • Define workflows for eligibility, benefits verification, prior authorizations, claims, and billing.

Ensure parallel operation of cash-pay and insurance flows without introducing friction.

Platform Product Guidance

  • Translate insurance requirements into actionable platform workflows and technical specifications.
  • Collaborate across engineering, operations, and clinical teams to ensure requirements are translated into buildable product features.
  • Support execution of integrations with DME systems, payor networks, and internal tooling.
  • Identify platform gaps and propose solutions that maintain scalability across cash and insurance channels.
  • Contribute to roadmap planning by assessing impact and feasibility of insurance-related initiatives.

Experience & Compliance

  • Design user journeys that set expectations clearly for patients choosing insurance vs. cash pay.
  • Ensure HIPAA compliance, data integrity, and regulatory adherence in all product flows.

Build mechanisms to ensure pricing transparency and claims accuracy.

What You Bring To The Role

  • 5+ years product management experience with healthcare or insurance-based products.
  • Strong understanding of insurance operations: eligibility verification, prior auth, claims, and DME billing.
  • Experience introducing insurance into a primarily cash-pay or consumer-first business.
  • Proven ability to work with both technical teams (engineering/integrations) and operational teams (clinical, billing, DME).
  • Experience with HST or DME product flows.
  • Familiarity with healthcare data standards and compliance frameworks (HIPAA).
  • Background in sleep health, respiratory therapy, or medical device e-commerce.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex concepts to stakeholders.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment; ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment where tactical and strategic initiatives are driven in parallel.
  • Willingness to get your hands dirty -- you enjoy a scrappy, entrepreneurial environment.

Who We Are

  • We play an important role in the health & wellness decisions of our audiences, and it’s a responsibility we don’t take lightly.  We invest thoughtfully to provide the most expert-driven, audience-first experience
  • We embody rapid, sustainable growth. Run into a challenge or a new opportunity?  Everyone on the team rolls up their sleeves and digs in.
  • We’re going to push you to ask big questions and find bold answers.  Everyone has a seat at the table, regardless of their title or job description
  • In Seattle, our positions adopt a hybrid model, recognizing the importance of in-person collaboration and remote work.  Our newly renovated-office remains open five days a week to those who thrive in a traditional office-environment
  • We love a good celebration!  We enjoy what we do because of who we do it with, and take time to celebrate every win – whether ours or a teammate’s

Compensation Range

$65-70/hr. Note that final compensation is subject to the candidate’s specific qualifications and location, as well as the needs of the company. This position is not eligible to participate in the company’s annual bonus plan.

Sleep Doctor is committed to bringing together individuals from diverse backgrounds and perspectives. We strive to create an inclusive environment where everyone can thrive and be their authentic self, feel a sense of community, and do great work together. What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
