About the Role

Employ is seeking a Product Manager to help evolve key experiences within our Applicant Tracking System (ATS) products, shaping how recruiters discover, manage, and engage talent across the hiring lifecycle.

This role will focus primarily on advancing core ATS sourcing and candidate engagement capabilities across Employ’s portfolio—including Lever, Jobvite, and JazzHR—used by 2,500+ organizations ranging from SMB to enterprise across a wide variety of industries.

In addition to strengthening these core ATS workflows, you will also help evolve our AI Companions, bringing AI-powered assistance into recruiter workflows to improve candidate and pipeline management, interviewing and evaluation, and offer management.

In this role, you will improve how recruiters and hiring teams manage candidates and move through the hiring process within Employ’s ATS platform. Your work will directly contribute to more efficient workflows, better candidate experiences, and measurable improvements in hiring outcomes.

This is a highly cross-functional role where you will partner with engineering, design, and go-to-market teams to build modern recruiter experiences that drive hiring efficiency and deliver measurable value for customers.

About the Team

You’ll be joining a tight-knit group of product managers who collectively own and shape the end-to-end recruitment workflow. The team operates with a high level of collaboration, shared context, and mutual support, ensuring strong alignment across products and initiatives. We are in the midst of a rapid transition toward AI-driven practices, actively integrating intelligent systems into our product strategy and execution. At the same time, we remain deeply committed to best-in-class product management fundamentals—balancing innovation with rigor, customer focus, and disciplined decision-making.

What You'll Do:

You will own execution and contribute to prioritization for a defined set of ATS capabilities, ensuring recruiters and hiring teams can efficiently manage the hiring lifecycle within Employ's platform. Working from an established product vision, you will help translate customer needs and market insights into features and improvements that deliver measurable value.

Your core areas of ownership include:

    • Candidate lifecycle management

    • Recruiter and hiring manager experience

    • Job distribution and posting

    • Automation and workflow configuration

    • Candidate experience and communication

    You will be responsible for:

    • Driving end-to-end delivery of product initiatives, from discovery through launch

    • Contributing to roadmap prioritization for ATS capabilities, informed by customer feedback, usage data, and competitive context

    • Partnering with engineering and design to scope, specify, and ship recruiter and hiring manager workflow improvements

    • Supporting the development of AI-powered features (e.g., recommendations, automation, assisted workflows) within existing recruiter experiences

    • Conducting customer and stakeholder discovery to surface insights that improve recruiter efficiency and candidate experience

    • Working with go-to-market partners on launch readiness, messaging, and enablement for new capabilities

    • Monitoring feature adoption and outcomes post-launch to inform iteration

What You Bring:

    • 2-4 years of product management experience

    • Demonstrated ability to ship products and features end-to-end

    • Familiarity working alongside AI/ML or data science teams on AI-powered features

    • Strong analytical skills with a track record of using data to inform prioritization decisions

    • Clear, organized communicator who can align cross-functional teammates and surface insights to product leadership

    • Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver in a results-oriented, PE-backed environment

It’s a Plus if You Have:

    • Experience in hiring, HR tech, or workforce technology

    • Exposure to AI/ML-powered features or working with data science teams

    • Experience improving workflows, usability, or operational efficiency within a product

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
