Launched from Google X in 2015, our purpose is to bring the promise of precision health to everyone, every day. We are focused on generating and activating data from a variety of sources, including clinical, social, behavioral and the real world, to arrive at the best solutions for a person based on a comprehensive view of the evidence. Description

Verily is seeking a Product Manager to deliver user growth and engagement experiences for our consumer-facing health products. You’ll focus on building experiences that help new users get started, stay engaged, and build meaningful actions tied to better health outcomes.

Success in this role requires curiosity, a strong grasp of user behavior, and comfort operating in fast-moving, ambiguous environments. You bring clear communication, structured problem-solving, and a bias toward execution. You care deeply about building products that truly help people and bring delight into their health journeys.

Responsibilities
  • Own end-to-end delivery of growth and retention features such as notification, new user onboarding, and engagement loops

  • Design, run, and interpret A/B tests to optimize user lifecycle across onboarding, activation, engagement, retention, and re-activation

  • Build and monitor growth funnels and user engagement and retention metrics; use data to identify opportunities and drive continuous improvement

  • Partner with behavioral science, clinical, UX, and engineering teams to translate insights into shipped features

  • Drive alignment across cross-functional teams using structured frameworks, clear documentation, and crisp communication, while executing within the broader growth & retention roadmap.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3+ years in software product management with demonstrated success in growth, retention, or engagement; must have consumer product experience

  • Strong understanding of growth metrics (activation rate, retention curves, DAU/MAU, retention cohorts) and how to move them

  • Demonstrated experience with A/B testing, experimentation, and analytics tools to optimize product features

  • Track record of high execution velocity - shipping features quickly and iterating based on data

  • Bias for action; proven ability to drive results in ambiguous or fast-moving environments across multiple development teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with notification systems, gamification systems, personalizing experiences in consumer digital products

  • Understanding of behavioral science principles and their application in digital products

  • Experience working within platform or shared capability teams

  • Familiarity with growth frameworks (pirate metrics, retention cohorts, engagement loops)

  • Experience with shaping products in complex regulatory and policy environments
