The Mission

At Counsel, we believe everyone should have an expert physician in their pocket. We have built the foundation—medical record integrations, doctor-led AI, and immediate clinical access. Now, we need a Senior Senior Product Manager, Core Product to turn that foundation into a daily habit for millions.

You will own the "Day 0 to Day 30" experience, ensuring every user who discovers Counsel doesn't just "try" it, but realizes it is the only way they want to manage their health. You’ll also own our onboarding flows and core chat experience - leveraging our differentiators of clinicians on the platform and doctors-in-the-loop to solve user needs.

What you will do
  • Engineer the "Aha!" Moment: You will obsess over time-to-value. Whether it’s getting a user to sync their first record or have a user interact with a doctor, you will design the path that makes our value undeniable.

  • Master Mindshare & Presence: You will define what "presence" looks like for Counsel. Through notification strategies, mobile app adoption, and habit-forming triggers, you will drive users to return to Counsel as their first instinct for any care issue.

  • Acquisition funnel: You will own the "front door" of Counsel. This means treating the signed-out experience, landing pages, and the onboarding flow as a core product that converts curiosity into high-intent usage.

  • Core chat experience: This is the actual modality of how users get care today! You’ll be able to work closely with our AI teams to improve the quality and personalization of conversations users have with AI and our doctor.

  • Industry Agnostic: We don’t care if you’ve worked in health tech. We care that you’ve grown a consumer product at scale.

  • Partner with D2C Growth marketing: You will work in a high-velocity pod alongside our D2C Growth Marketer.

Who you are / What you’ll bring
  • You have 4+ years of experience in building consumer products.

  • You have done 0→1→10 work before.

  • Lead discovery and experimentation to identify and prioritize the most impactful features and opportunities

  • Deep customer intuition and product taste, combining design empathy with a rigorous, data-informed approach to measuring impact

  • Ability to own your work in a fast-paced, rapid growth environment, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to an ever-changing landscape

  • Ability to roll up your sleeves and do whatever it takes to make your product successful.

  • Work cross functionally with engineering, design, clinicians, and GTM to define, build, and deploy experiences that delight our users

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Bonus points for
  • Doing growth at an early-stage startup during its primary scaling phase

  • Direct experience working with LLM-powered products.

  • Prior work collaborating with D2C growth marketing teams or being a growth marketer yourself!

  • Experience in consumer products in more regulated spaces (like Fintech, Edtech, or healthcare).

Role location:

NYC - hybrid, Boston - hybrid

What we offer
  • Impact: Be at the forefront and contribute to groundbreaking, AI-driven healthcare experiences, directly interface with execs at the world's leading tech & healthcare orgs

  • Growth: Significant opportunities for broad ownership and professional development within our rapidly scaling startup

  • Compensation: Competitive salary + equity

  • Benefits: Comprehensive healthcare, vision + dental, 401K, Unlimited PTO, Parental Leave

-----------------------------------------------------

Our Values
  • Patients come first.
We are clinicians 1st, technologists 2nd. We act with patient trust/safety at the center of every decision.

  • Innovate with optimism.
We are optimistic as we build the future of care delivery from first principles. Challenge the status quo when needed, no sacred cows.

  • Right answer wins.
Debate openly and pick the strongest path. We optimize for the company, not functions. We win and lose as a team.

  • Simplicity over complexity.
We choose clear, elegant solutions and avoid adding complexity that does not serve patients or the team.

  • Do fewer things, well.
We focus, and hold ourselves to the highest bar and pursue excellence in those areas.
