Position Summary

CVS Health’s Analytics & Behavior Change (A&BC) is an organization working to solve some of the most challenging problems at the intersection of technology and healthcare. A&BC leverages advanced analytics, machine learning, modeling, and hypothesis-driven approaches to transform data into actionable, customer-centric insights driving growth, health outcome improvements, and access to health care across all our businesses in CVS Health. The A&BC organization is looking to grow its Product team supporting Clinical Data Science & AI. Join us as we embark on an exciting journey to drive a transformational shift in how CVS Health leverages technology and analytics to become the leader in consumer healthcare in the U.S.

As a Product Manager within A&BC, you will be responsible for contributing to the development and launch of AI-powered insights across the enterprise. This role requires a strong understanding of product management, clinical data, data science, and business strategy. The ideal candidate has familiarity with GenAI, deep learning, and machine learning and is able to work effectively with cross-functional teams to bring clinical data and AI products to market. Additionally, as a Product Manager you will support the dissemination of best practices (design thinking, agile methodologies and more) to support A&BC in its digital transformation.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop user stories, acceptance criteria, and detailed product specifications to communicate feature requirements to Data Science, Engineering, and Stakeholder teams
  • Support Engineering and Data Science teams to implement features by clarifying requirements, facilitating technical discussions, and helping technical team members to understand users and the business
  • Facilitate problem solving and prioritization across teams, factoring in trade-offs between speed, scalability, and quality
  • Conduct user research, usability testing, and competitive analysis to inform product decisions and validate hypotheses
  • Liaise with clinicians to get an understanding of clinical best practices, requirements, and validation of AI outputs
  • Define, monitor and analyze product performance metrics, identifying opportunities for improvement and optimization
  • Draft, refine and communicate business cases to key stakeholders to obtain input and buy-in
  • Work with internal customers, end users, and other stakeholders to maintain product roadmaps
  • Clarify and coordinate dependencies with other product teams and stakeholders, and mitigate the risks and dependencies proactively
  • Support the establishment and maintenance of release-management, product planning and launch frameworks
  • Champion Agile methodologies and lean practices in product development

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years’ experience working cross-functionally with Engineering or Data Science teams and familiarity with Data Science concepts
  • 1-2 years’ Product Management, Product Management-adjacent, or Consulting experience (closely partnering with Data Scientists and Engineers) including:
  • Strong experience with AI, data analytics, data products, and/or complex analytics utilizing clinical or claims data to accelerate insights and drive value
  • Experience in stakeholder management

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with AI including GenAI, machine learning, and deep learning
  • Deep knowledge of various types of healthcare data, including a strong grasp of data nuances, common use cases, and limitations, with experience in common analytics tools including, but not limited to, Tableau
  • Strong interest in the Healthcare sector; the ideal candidate should be passionate about making healthcare more efficient and want to be part of a transformational change in the Healthcare industry
  • Technical product management experience and/or experience with prompt engineering a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to operate effectively within a complex stakeholder environment, driving consensus and fostering collaborative decision-making processes
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate (oral and written), with experience in communicating technical concepts and implications to business stakeholders and customers as well as business concepts and requirements to Data Science, Engineering, and other technical teams
  • Proven track record of supporting the management of all aspects of a successful product throughout its lifecycle
  • Ability to drive outcomes in a complex environment and navigate ambiguity

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Analytics, Mathematics, Physics, Applied Sciences, or a related field
  • Bachelor’s degree required

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$92,700.00 - $222,480.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
