Job Responsibilities:
Product Manager- Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMR)
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Product Manager with a strong background in robotics, industrial automation, and hardware development. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in defining product strategy and driving the development of innovative solutions that meet the needs of our customers. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, particularly engineering, to gather and articulate customer requirements, then drive execution to ensure that our products align with market demands and deliver exceptional value.
Our team is building the next generation of Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMR) and accessory products within Magna and their suppliers. We're focused on optimizing material handling workflows through software, robotics, and hardware solutions. This role will lead our product strategy and development of new vehicle platforms and/or accessory products that enable AMR applications.
Key Responsibilities:• Product Strategy & Vision: Define and communicate the product vision and roadmap, aligning with company goals and market opportunities for AMRs.• Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders, including customers and sales teams, to gather and prioritize product requirements. Translate customer needs into detailed business and functional specifications.• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, marketing, and strategy teams to ensure successful product development. Foster a collaborative environment that encourages open communication and feedback.• Market Research & Analysis: Conduct market research to identify competitive trends and customer needs. Analyze product performance metrics to inform decision-making.• User-Centric Focus: Advocate for the end-user experience, ensuring that the product meets user needs and expectations. Gather user feedback and iterate on product features accordingly.• Stakeholder Communication: Communicate product updates, roadmaps, and timelines to stakeholders. Prepare and present product demos and training sessions.• Product Lifecycle Management: Manage the entire product lifecycle from ideation to launch and post-launch analysis. Ensure timely delivery of high-quality products.
Qualifications:• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.• 2+ years of product management experience, particularly in robotics or industrial automation.• Strong understanding of robotics and automation and their applications in manufacturing.• Proven experience working closely with engineering teams to gather and document requirements.• Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to leverage data to drive decisions.• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across teams.• Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to product development
