About the Team – Data Pipelines
The Data Pipelines team is at the heart of unlocking value from the massive and complex healthcare data ecosystem. We are building scalable, efficient, and resilient pipelines that ingest, normalize, cleanse, transform, and enrich data from multiple sources and make it available in near real-time at the point of care.
These pipelines are critical to delivering timely, actionable insights that improve clinical decision-making and operational efficiency. By ensuring data integrity and interoperability, the team enables providers to see the full picture of a patient’s health, no matter where the data originates.
Position Summary
We are seeking a Product Manager to join the Data Pipelines team. In this role, you will lead the definition and execution of the product roadmap for ingesting, transforming, normalizing, and delivering healthcare data from disparate sources. You will work cross-functionally with engineers, designers, clinical experts, and fellow product leaders to ensure healthcare data is trustworthy, timely, and actionable.
You will be instrumental in how data from external sources flows into athenaOne and supports clinicians, administrators, and researchers across our network.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as Product Owner for an Agile scrum team focused on healthcare data pipelines.
Define and prioritize user stories, manage the product backlog, and guide sprint planning and execution.
Collaborate with stakeholders to identify key requirements for data ingestion, normalization, transformation, enrichment, and delivery.
Create and communicate a clear multi-release product roadmap aligned with strategic goals.
Drive solutions that enable ingestion of data from external sources and surface it directly at the point of care.
Partner with the UX team to design intuitive experiences for clinical and operational users.
Work closely with engineering teams to evaluate technical feasibility and align implementation.
Manage dependencies across teams and gain alignment on priorities and trade-offs.
Leverage data and insights to drive product decisions that deliver measurable value to users and the business.
Qualifications & Experience

Proven experience working with data-intensive software products and modern data platforms.
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Business, Product Design, or a related field preferred.

Experience or understanding of data normalization and standards like FHIR is highly desirable.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to align diverse stakeholders on complex topics.
Demonstrated ability to focus on end-user value while balancing technical and business priorities.
