COMPANY DESCRIPTION

FL105 is a privately held, early-stage company pioneering the use of artificial intelligence to transform mental health paradigms and pioneer a new category of psychological fitness. We are creating a world where individuals and communities are empowered to preemptively identify andtackle psychological challenges and address mental health concerns.

FL105 is backed by Flagship Pioneering, an innovation enterprise that conceives, creates, resources, and builds companies that invent breakthrough technologies to transform health care, agriculture, and sustainability. Flagship has created over 100 groundbreaking companies since 2000, including Moderna.

THE ROLE

We’re hiring a Product Lead to drive core product development and user growth across FL105’s layered platform. You will be the tip of the spear – building early product, defining user journeys, and driving customer traction across our test markets. You’ll own the full loop: product vision, go-to-market execution, and iterative learning. You will be the connective tissue between technical capabilities and user needs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

In this role, you will:

  • Translate vision into execution: Define roadmap, prioritize features, and write clear product specs that drive toward user value.
  • Own the product roadmap from MVP through early scaling, ensuring it’s grounded in user needs and business hypotheses.
  • Drive growth experiments across paid and organic channels, with a bias toward measurable traction.
  • Test product-market fit across target personas and use cases through structured pilots.
  • Work closely with design, engineering, and ML to build, test, and iterate on high-velocity product cycles.
  • Shape distribution strategy from onboarding funnels to community loops, conversion tactics, and retention hooks.
  • Collaborate with founding team on narrative development, fundraising story, and early customer strategy.
  • Build feedback channels: Talk to users, analyze behavior, and use insights to drive decisions.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Builder’s mindset: You’ve launched zero-to-one products or led major features in early-stage companies.
  • Product intuition: You know how to build something users love – and how to test if they’ll stick with it.
  • Customer obsession: You talk to users weekly and aren’t afraid to sell, demo, or cold-email to get to the truth.
  • Cross-functional leadership: You’ve worked across engineering, design, marketing, and science teams.
  • Experience in mental health, consumer AI, coaching, or behavior change a strong plus.

Successful candidates will be able to thrive in a fast-paced, action-oriented, team environment and display a clear passion for AI innovation and impact. What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
