More about our mission and what we offer.

Job Description

As Product Lead for Global Currencies Expansion, you will:

  • Define and own the overarching vision and strategy for Wise's global currency expansion, identifying significant opportunities for exponential growth and impact.
  • Lead a group of high-performing product teams and product managers focused on breaking down barriers to global money movement. You'll be responsible for leading a team of Product Managers, providing mentorship, and fostering their growth.
  • Drive the initial expansion phase by partnering closely with our Swift team to maximize Wise's reach. You'll ensure new routes function smoothly and compliantly by collaborating with operations, financial crime, and treasury teams.
  • Pioneer solutions by working intimately with our banking team to implement new currencies more efficiently. This includes exploring partnerships with global payment aggregators and collaborating with regional teams on local banking and payment service providers.
  • Solve the complex puzzle of eliminating hidden fees from new routes, ensuring Wise's global payment network remains the most transparent in the industry.
  • Identify and verify large opportunities for incremental growth or cost reduction in currency expansion, making data-driven decisions on team formation and investment.
  • Make decisive and clear choices even in ambiguous and opinion-heavy situations, providing clear direction for your teams.
  • Elevate product management excellence across Wise by actively demonstrating what good execution looks like, contributing to hiring processes, learning and development, and our competency map.
  • Cultivate a high-performance culture within your group, ensuring team health and actively monitoring performance to resolve issues proactively.
  • Demonstrate a proven ability to hire and retain high-performing Product Managers.

Qualifications

We're looking for a leader who:

  • Possesses a strong passion for solving complex problems using data, analytics, and cutting-edge technology.
  • Has the ability to structure highly ambiguous situations with clarity, enabling large, diverse groups of people to work together effortlessly towards a common goal.
  • Can communicate ideas clearly and persuasively across all levels of the organization, as well as to external partners and customers.
  • Exhibits a true entrepreneurial spirit, with a proven track record of getting the right things done and driving significant impact.
  • Has experience leading and mentoring product managers and product teams, demonstrating accountability for their vision and strategy.
  • Is trusted to lead team-level rituals and planning processes (e.g. company-wide quarterly planning)
  • Is comfortable challenging the status quo and pushing boundaries within the industry, with a long-term vision for how the global currency landscape should evolve.
