The Product Lead, AI Applications is data-driven and leads discussions with data. You will build partnerships -- up, down, and across -- with Analysts, Engineers, and other business and technical teams. You will define metrics to measure progress and value of prototype output.
The ideal candidate must be comfortable dealing with ambiguity, be analytical and possess excellent problem-solving skills. You communicate with clarity, both orally and in writing, and excel in stakeholder relationship management. You have a strong data and analytics background with experience in agile development cycles, and in managing and delivering cross-functional programs. You have grit, are prepared to handle rapid-changes in an evolving environment, and are able to respond to escalations with data and causal analysis. You must be passionate about discovering transformative AI opportunities and enabling their successful adoption.
You will systematically identify, prototype, and validate high-potential AI-based business opportunities aligned with our AI-first strategy. You will own the roadmap, adoption, operation, business value, and lifecycle of experimental AI products within the Incubator. You will own relationships with the users of these experimental solutions and partner with stakeholders to define and execute a strategy that drives value-multiplied output for the business.
What you'll do:
- Owns the prioritized backlog and the strategic direction for AI experiments within the Incubator. Defines a holistic strategy/vision for how incubation drives transformation
- Gathers and vets potential AI opportunities from Operating Programs and SLT. Identifies the needs of internal customers (Operating Programs) and develops strategies to meet business demands through AI experimentation.
- Collaborates with Analytics and technical teams during Intake to size opportunities and assess feasibility.
- Partners with Operating Programs, Data Science, AI Platform, Security/Compliance, and Legal during Discovery to understand business problems, map dependencies, refine benefit targets, define success metrics, and identify blockers.
- Outlines the scope and approach for initial prototypes.
- Facilitates regular feedback loops with business stakeholders and potential end-users during Prototyping. Demos progress frequently to stakeholders.
- Collaborates with Analytics and Operating Programs during Validation to collect and analyze performance data.
- Participates in risk assessment for full-scale deployment and helps make go/no-go recommendations based on evidence.
- Develops initial integration and operating plan outlines for validated opportunities.
- Communicates comprehensive knowledge transfer, documentation, and training needs during the Handoff phase.
- Communicates project/initiative updates with the broader business audience and SLT.
- Responsible for core product operations functions of the AI incubation team: roadmap creation, discovery, backlog prioritization and refinement. Partners with the engineering manager to ensure a high performing agile team.
What you'll do:
- Experience in product management or relevant experience at an Internet and/or Technology company, with a focus on emerging technologies or innovation.
- Broad technical knowledge or strong familiarity with AI, Generative AI, Machine Learning, and data science concepts.
- Fluency in SQL for self-service data analysis purposes is desired.
- Deep experience leading cross-functional teams (including engineering, data science, analytics, business stakeholders) to deliver distinctive impact in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
