A Day in the Life

We are currently looking for a Product Engineer II to join our Aible Clinic Team within Cranial and Spinal Technologies (CST). Within the CST Operating Unit, together with our customers, we are moving spine and cranial surgery from an art to a science. As an Aible Clinic Engineer II, you will provide clinical, technical, and sales support to surgeons, hospital staff, and sales representatives to design patient specific implants and drive post-op data analytics. This is an exciting opportunity to serve as a technical resource between Medtronic and the medical community. You will be a key partner and will be exposed to sensitive information requiring considerable use of tact, diplomacy, discretion, and judgment.

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to: 

• Utilize proprietary software to provide clinical x-ray measurements, stimulate surgical corrections based on the surgeon’s case plan and personal preferences, design a patient-specific implant based on the planned correction, provide a real-time measurement and planning service for high-volume sites, collect post-operative data and prepare a detailed analysis of the results obtained
• Discuss surgical plans with surgeons and their staff
• Collaborate with hospital staff and sales representatives to manage cases
• Act as technical support in the operating room as needed
• Provide training support to regional managers
• Present postoperative analyses to surgeons
• Lead internally driven projects to increase lab efficiencies
• Travel - <25% could be required monthly 

Must Have: Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this role, please ensure the minimum requirements are evident in your applicant profile and on your resume. 

• Bachelor’s Degree 
• 2 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with no experience

Nice to Have: Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Life Sciences: Engineering, Biology, Biotechnology, or Biomedical Engineering
• Experience working in a medical environment dealing with spine issues
• Experience working remotely and effectively managing time
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment
• Experience using analytical and organizational skills

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$80,000.00 - $120,000.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).

The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20+ hours per week: Health, Dental and vision insurance, Health Savings Account, Healthcare Flexible Spending Account, Life insurance, Long-term disability leave, Dependent daycare spending account, Tuition assistance/reimbursement, and Simple Steps (global well-being program).
