About Us

At VibeIQ, we pioneer the future of digital collaboration with our innovative suite of apps built specifically for product teams. Our mission is to allow companies that design, manufacture, or sell products to work more effectively, enable a more sustainable work life balance, and reduce their impact on the environment.

Position Summary

We're looking for a Product Designer to join our Design team. You'll work across our suite of collaborative apps — Boards, Plan, and Showcase — designing the experiences that help teams brainstorm, plan, and bring ideas to life.

This is a rare opportunity for an early to mid-level designer to have outsized impact. As the second hire on our design team, you'll work directly with our Lead Designer in a role with room to own meaningful product work, grow your influence, and help shape how design works at VibeIQ.

What You’ll Do
  • Own design work across VibeIQ’s core product surfaces.
  • Create flows, prototypes, wireframes, and high-fidelity designs.
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, and Design to define problems and shape solutions.
  • Bring structure to ambiguous workflows and turn complex product needs into clear experiences.
  • Contribute to our design system and shared product patterns.
  • Participate in design reviews, share feedback, and help set the bar for design quality.
  • Explore how AI and emerging tools can support design workflows and product experiences.
  • Build working relationships across product, engineering, and customer-facing teams.
  • Help shape the design function at VibeIQ as the team grows.

We’d Love to Hear From You If You Have
  • 3-5 years of experience designing UX and UI for software products.
  • Strong interaction design, visual design, and information architecture skills.
  • Strong Figma skills and experience using components, styles, and prototypes.
  • Experience designing with or contributing to a design system.
  • Good product judgment and the ability to balance user needs, technical constraints, and business goals.
  • Comfort working through ambiguity and making progress with limited direction.
  • Interest in experimenting with AI tools to move design work forward.

Bonus Points
  • Background in B2B, productivity, collaborative, creative, or canvas-based products.
  • Familiarity with retail, merchandising, PLM, or physical product development workflows.
  • Frontend knowledge, including HTML/CSS or experience building websites or apps.
  • Experience helping define early design systems, product patterns, or team standards.
  • Experience using tools like Claude Code or Claude Design for prototyping or design-to-dev workflows.

Benefits
  • 401(k)
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • 9 paid holidays per year
  • Discretionary time off
  • Paid parental leave

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
