Our mission is to use robotics to enable incredible variety and culinary authenticity. By reimagining the kitchen environment, we improve the daily experience of our team members and ensure every customer receives a perfect meal, every time.

About The Opportunity

We’re looking for a Product Designer to help maintain and expand the functionality and feature set for the IK (Infinite Kitchen) product line. The software of the  IK product  consists of five different digital applications that coexist in a seamless ecosystem inside a restaurant. As a Product Designer on Wonder’s IK Team, you’ll lead the design of new features within the current suite of products, iterate with stakeholders on designs and champion and advocate for the best experience for end users. During development, You will work very closely with the Product Manager of the IK System and will collaborate with engineering through product reviews, testing, the launch of new features. After launch, you’ll be spending time in restaurants gathering feedback from store operators to share back internally and help propose whether or not more iterations are needed to deliver the best final product.. This work ultimately supports every area of our business, from the production of tens of thousands of meals daily, through to delivery to our customers. Your contributions in this area will help Wonder continue to innovate and grow.

The Impact You Will Make

  • Design and build new digital products as well as improve existing  features to enable operators to do their job easier or more efficiently

  • Use Figma to create everything from low-fidelity wireframes and user flows to high-fidelity interactive prototypes. Keeping these designs up to date and organized to easily share with stakeholders

  • Systems Thinking: able to understand how Operators use the Infinite Kitchen to create solutions and fit them into our existing design/product framework

  • Advocating for the best experience beyond only digital to ensure our products are easy to use in restaurants

  • Partner closely with Restaurant Teams and Ops to observe how our tools are used in real-time. You will translate "kitchen-floor reality" into "digital-design solutions."

  • Help scale our design framework from supporting one customer to many to unlock growth potential

What You Bring to the Table

  • Bachelors degree (or equivalent experience) in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, Graphic Design or a related field

  • 4+ years of experience in product design, UX Design or related roles

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to deep dive into user behaviors and how to build intuitive products

  • A design portfolio showcasing previous work and design thinking

  • Proficient in Figma

  • Experience designing for multiple platforms(web, apps, etc)

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain design decisions to both product and engineering

  • Detail oriented mindset for maintaining consistent design systems and patterns

  • Self Starter - takes initiative for what needs to be done whether that is heading to a restaurant to dive deeper with operators, or suggesting new ideas of how our products could be improved

  • Ability to collaborate with software, robotics and software engineers on specific features

As a matter of company policy, Wonder does not sponsor applicants for employment visa status for this role.

This role is based in our Boston office in Charlestown, MA. Our hybrid model requires 3 days a week in the office.
