About the Opportunity

Pragmatike is partnering with a YC-backed AI technology start-up building ambitious products at the intersection of software, intelligence, and user experience.

We're looking for a Product Designer who thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys taking ownership of complex product experiences from concept through delivery. This role is ideal for someone who combines exceptional design craft with systems thinking, product intuition, and a passion for creating intuitive experiences around sophisticated technology.

You'll work closely with engineers, founders, and product stakeholders to design products that make powerful AI capabilities feel natural, accessible, and delightful for users.

What You'll Do
  • Design end-to-end product experiences across web, desktop, and mobile platforms.

  • Transform complex workflows into intuitive and elegant user journeys.

  • Create wireframes, prototypes, high-fidelity designs, and production-ready specifications.

  • Develop and maintain scalable design systems and interaction frameworks.

  • Collaborate closely with engineering and product teams to define and deliver new features.

  • Conduct user research and translate insights into meaningful product improvements.

  • Design thoughtful interactions, motion, and feedback mechanisms that enhance usability.

  • Balance user needs, business goals, and technical constraints to create exceptional experiences.

  • Influence product strategy through design exploration and customer-centered thinking.

  • Help establish design best practices and contribute to the evolution of the product experience.

What We're Looking For
  • 5+ years of professional product design experience.

  • Strong portfolio demonstrating ownership of complex digital products from concept to launch.

  • Expertise in interaction design, information architecture, and user-centered design principles.

  • Strong visual design skills and exceptional attention to detail.

  • Experience creating and maintaining scalable design systems.

  • Excellent prototyping skills and ability to validate concepts quickly.

  • Ability to operate independently and thrive in ambiguous environments.

  • Strong product sense and ability to simplify complex problems.

  • Experience collaborating closely with engineers and cross-functional teams.

  • Excellent communication skills and collaborative mindset.

Nice to Have
  • Experience designing AI-powered products, developer tools, or technical platforms.

  • Familiarity with conversational interfaces or intelligent systems.

  • Motion design experience.

  • Ability to build functional prototypes using code.

  • Experience in startup or high-growth environments.

  • Experience conducting user research and usability testing.

  • Strong systems-thinking approach to product design.

  • Experience helping establish design standards in early-stage teams.

Why Join?

This is an opportunity to join a highly ambitious team solving complex design and technical challenges while building products used by a rapidly growing customer base.

You'll have significant ownership, direct access to decision-makers, meaningful influence on product direction, and the opportunity to help define how users interact with next-generation AI products in a collaborative onsite environment.
