1Money is seeking an accomplished Product / Corporate Counsel – Assistant General Counsel to join its Legal team during a pivotal phase of growth. This high-impact role is central to supporting the development of regulated stablecoin and payments infrastructure worldwide, working closely with senior leadership across product, compliance, finance, and engineering.

The successful candidate will provide expert legal counsel on product development involving stablecoins, payments, blockchain technology, and digital asset services. Responsibilities include advising on complex financial services regulations, BSA/AML/CFT compliance, sanctions, intellectual property, data privacy, and cybersecurity. The role also supports domestic and international licensing, regulatory strategy, and direct engagement with global regulators.

Key duties include drafting and negotiating sophisticated commercial agreements, supporting corporate governance and venture financing, and translating evolving regulatory requirements into actionable business guidance. The position requires leading multiple high-stakes legal projects in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment, collaborating cross-functionally, and managing outside counsel.

Candidates should have a JD from a top-tier ABA-accredited law school, active U.S. bar membership, and 5-7 years of relevant legal experience spanning large law firm and in-house roles within financial services or digital assets. Deep expertise in financial regulation, commercial transactions, and corporate governance is essential. Experience with stablecoin issuance, digital asset custody, or blockchain infrastructure is a plus.
