Job Description

  

Procurement Manager Mission-Critical Supply Chain Leadership
Join a Teledyne FLIR Defense team delivering advanced surveillance systems that support defence, public safety, and search-and-rescue missions. In this role, you’ll lead procurement for high-tech manufacturing programs where precision, timing, and supplier performance directly impact mission success. You’ll work across commodities—from PCBAs to optics—ensuring materials flow seamlessly to production.

What you’ll do
  • Lead and develop a team of buyers across multiple commodity areas
  • Drive supplier performance on delivery, quality, and cost targets
  • Align material schedules with production demand to prevent shortages
  • Oversee purchase order execution and ERP transaction accuracy
  • Generate and present supply chain performance reports
  • Partner with suppliers to resolve delays and improve reliability
  • Expedite critical parts and manage inventory to support just-in-time delivery
  • Ensure SAP data integrity and process discipline
  • Support compliance reporting, including SBA requirements
  • Assist with shipping/receiving activities as needed
What you need
  • Required: Strong leadership, organisation, and problem-solving skills
  • Required: Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Required: Effective communication and supplier negotiation skills
  • Required: Experience in procurement or materials management (3+ years)
  • Advantage: Experience in high-tech or manufacturing environments
  • Advantage: SAP and ERP system proficiency
  • Advantage: Analytical mindset with reporting experience
  • Advantage: Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS)

Salary Range:

$96,600.00-$128,800.000

The anticipated salary range listed for this role is only an estimate. Actual compensation for successful candidates is carefully determined based on several factors including, but not limited to, location, local regulations (such as minimum wage), education/training, work experience, key skills, and type of position.
