Job Description

The Procurement Data Analytics & Reporting Manager leads the sourcing and procurement analytics function, driving data-informed strategies to optimize supplier relationships, cost management, and operational efficiency. This role oversees a team dedicated to collecting and analyzing procurement data, developing actionable insights, and delivering comprehensive reports and dashboards. Responsibilities include managing data intake from enterprise systems, ensuring data accuracy within a centralized data lake, developing reports and dashboards and presenting insights to stakeholders. The manager will also identify opportunities for continuous process improvement, leveraging analytics to support strategic sourcing decisions and enhance procurement performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively manage the end-to-end data analytics and reporting process in support of sourcing and procurement operations, including data intake, data management, and data reporting ensuring accuracy, consistency, and alignment with procurement strategies.

  • Provide thought leadership to improve procurement data quality, optimize data reporting and dashboards, and leverage AI and automation to enhance spend analysis, supplier performance reporting, and strategic sourcing insights.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the Procurement Data Analytics & Reporting Team on current projects and new initiatives that align with evolving sourcing, supplier management, and procurement transformation efforts.

  • Partner closely with category managers, sourcing leads, and procurement leadership to deliver actionable insights on supplier spend, savings opportunities, contract compliance, and sourcing pipeline performance.

  • Identify and implement process improvements to streamline procurement data flows, enhance supply market intelligence, and better support key stakeholders in strategic sourcing, contract management, and procurement operations as well as business partners across the enterprise.
     

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • This position includes supervisory responsibilities, overseeing a team of procurement data analysts and reporting specialists.
     

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Procurement, Data Science, Finance, Business, Economics, IT, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in data analytics and reporting, preferably in the procurement with demonstrated experience in using data to influence business decisions and strategies.
     

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

  • None required; certifications in procurement (e.g., CPSM, CIPS, or CSCP) are a plus.
     

Functional Skills

  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly within the context of sourcing and supplier performance.

  • Experience with data management tools (e.g., Scality, Azure) is preferred.

  • Familiarity with business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and programming/scripting languages (e.g., SQL, Python) is preferred.

  • Strong communication skills for presenting insights and influencing decisions across cross-functional teams.

  • Proven leadership skills, with the ability to manage a team and engage with senior stakeholders effectively.
     

Travel

  • Departmental meetings are expected to occur in Chicagoland or Charlotte, NC. Required to travel as needed.

Compensation

Compensation offered for this role is $95,700.00 - 170,925.00 annually and is based on experience and qualifications.

The candidate(s) offered this position will be required to submit to a background investigation.
