About the Position

Revolution Prep seeks to hire proctors for online mock SAT suite, ACT, and AP exam proctoring with the possible addition of in-person mock exams depending on location.  This independent contractor position is expected to start work in September, though hours may become available sooner. Revolution Prep will provide training and supply all materials for the exams. 


You will be a great fit for this position if you are personable, enthusiastic, communicative, and reliable. 

Responsibilities

  • Complete training prior to beginning proctoring
  • Post accurate availability once per quarter
  • Deliver instructions to a group of high school students via Zoom video conferencing software
  • Represent Revolution Prep with the highest level of professionalism
  • Attend occasional additional training when updates occur
  • Transportation to and from in-person exams, if applicable

Qualifications

  • Authorized to work in the United States
  • Must have at least some availability in four-hour increments during our peak mock exam hours, which are as follows:
    • Saturdays from 6AM to 1PM PT / 9AM to 4PM ET
    • (Less frequently) Sundays from 6AM to 1 PM PT / 9 AM to 4 PM ET
  • Proficiency with Zoom software
  • Strong written communications skills
  • Embodies a "growth mindset" (unafraid of challenges, adaptable to change, willingness to learn)
  • Can pass a background check
  • Completion of a Bachelor's degree or higher preferred but not required
  • Previous tutoring or teaching experience and familiarity with classroom management (especially online) preferred but not required
  • Previous experience tutoring or teaching test prep is a plus

Technology Requirements

  • Mac or PC laptop or computer
    • Mac users: Mac OS X Snow Leopard (version 10.6) or later
    • PC users: Windows 8.1 or later
  • Functional webcam

Compensation

  • Independent Contractor (1099-NEC) at $20.00 per hour
