The Processor I, Government Funding Programs prepares and processes Federal Student Aid and military funds, for current learners, in accordance with federal, state, and institutional regulations and guidelines. The incumbent provides document review for accuracy, compliance, and completeness in preparation for the delivery and coordination of federal, state, and institutional funds. The Processor I, Government Funding Programs provides support to the Government Funding Programs function by tracking Institutional Student Information Records (ISIR), reviewing learner’s documents to clear verification, C codes, Unusual Enrollment History (UEH), and conflicting data, verifies data accuracy, and assists in preparing disbursements for electronic delivery of Title IV and military funds to the College.

Reviews current learner documents to verify eligibility, completeness, and accuracy as required to draw Title IV and military funds

Completes the verification process which includes the review of verification documents, verifying data matches to the ISIR, ensuring no conflicting information, and accurately making all necessary ISIR corrections

Ensures documents associated with ISIR rejections, C-codes, and conflicting information meet Title IV requirements to clear issues

Makes determinations on learners’ and/or parents’ special circumstances to escalate file(s) to supervisor for professional judgment decisions

Reviews withdrawn learners to ensure Return of Title IV funds are calculated and completed timely and accurately in accordance with institutional and regulatory requirements

Reviews Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) each semester to determine continued eligibility of Title IV funding

Utilizes multiple databases and technology including Common Origination & Disbursement (COD), National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS), and Central Processing System (CPS) to ensure compliance with institutional and federal regulations

Participates in the successful implementation of other functional projects as they arise

A high school diploma or general equivalent is required

At least one year of experience in a professional environment that is highly regulated including finance, higher education, or medical field is required

Demonstrated knowledge of Federal Student Aid and/or military funding is required

Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required

Demonstrated experience in an institution of higher learning or student funding is preferred
