SPARX HOCKEY IS LOOKING FOR A MOTIVATED PRO TEAM SALES REPRESENTATIVE

The Pro Team Sales Representative position is responsible for developing and closing sales opportunities with and providing service to high-level teams. This role is a vital part of our Commercial Sales Division and reports to the VP of Commercial Sales.  The position works closely with our High-level Teams (Junior, College, Pro), Independent Sales Representatives in the field and internal leadership in the office.

We’re seeking an ambitious, results-driven team member with equipment manager experience and strong people skills who can clearly communicate the value of the Sparx Skate Sharpener, drive adoption across teams, and troubleshoot customer needs. You’ll play an essential role in driving customer acquisition and revenue growth. You must be comfortable with making dozens of calls per day to generate interest, qualify prospects, close sales, and support customers.

Location:

  • Office in Acton, MA
    • Work From Home: Monday & Friday
    • In-Office: Tuesday-Thursday
  • Travel Required

Responsibilities:

  • Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound calling
  • Understand customer needs and requirements
  • Increase product usage through follow-up calls and troubleshooting
  • Research teams, identify potential customers, and generate interest
  • Maintain and expand database of customers and prospects
  • Collaborate with Independent Sales Representatives to build pipeline, close deals, and achieve quotas
  • Monitor, track, and report on activities, providing relevant updates to management
  • Provide ongoing customer service for high-level teams
  • Assist in off-site events including demos, trade shows and account management activities

Requirements:

  • Experience as a Hockey Equipment Manager (SPHEM membership a plus)
  • Strong phone presence
  • Experience working with a CRM
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong listening and presentation skills
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and drive for results
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • Highly organized with the ability to work independently
  • Forward thinking with strong problem-solving abilities
  • Personable and engaging
  • Dependable and consistent
