The Role:

Blue Owl Private Wealth is establishing a Field Engagement team to focus on centers of influence and field leadership across Blue Owl Private Wealth’s US distribution channel.  The individuals that make up this team will act as regional ambassadors for Blue Owl within their respective regions, working closely with both the Strategic Accounts and Regional Market Teams to partner with field leadership, centers of influence and other high value, advisor-facing partner resources. 

The successful candidate will have a broad understanding of financial services, the organizational and distribution structures at the biggest financial services firms, and the ability to work in a consultative manner with regional leaders in the business.   Moreover, as the regional ambassador to Blue Owl, the successful candidate will be able to present and represent all Blue Owl to regional stakeholders, with a focus on the firm’s investment capabilities, practice management expertise, and commitment to our partners in wealth.   The role requires the candidate to develop a full understanding of Blue Owl’s investment strategy and products and requires regular travel. 

Responsibilities:

  • Establish executive presence as a senior ambassador to Blue Owl in relevant markets.  

  • On a cross-channel and cross region basis, develop and execute plan to partner with field leaders and other centers of influence to support the education, engagement and awareness for advisors and allocators in the field.  Allocate Blue Owl resources to support our best partners in the field.

  • Build and manage relationships with field leadership, advisor-facing partner resources, and other centers of influence across relevant region. 

  • Understand and maintain a working knowledge of partner firms’ field leadership structure, advisor-facing sales teams and resources, and meaningful regional and super-regional events.  Source and develop opportunities for deeper engagement with financial advisors and decision makers.

  • Develop a thorough financial and structural understanding of the Blue Owl’s products and be able to present them in a compelling way.

  • Actively partner with regional centers of influence to engage with, support and educate advisors and other stakeholders on all of Blue Owl, both product and practice management. 

  • Keep sales leadership informed of needs, news and trends across covered channels and markets.

Qualifications:

  • Alternative investment relationship management and/or sales experience ideally focused on multiple product lines, including private debt, real estate and / or private equity.

  • At least 10 years of client facing experience and strong relationships.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to quickly understand and articulate Blue Owl’s investment strategy, differentiating factors and competitive advantage.

  • Highly motivated with the ability to work independently, set priorities, multitask, and meet deadlines and fundraising goals.

  • Ability to work in a team-oriented sales environment in which sharing information and collaboration is essential for success.

  • Strong presence, perspective and competence that engenders trust and confidence within the institutional investor community.

  • Ability to travel.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education required

  • Series 7 and 66 or equivalent required

It is expected that the base annual salary range for this New York City-based position will be 150,000 to 225,000. Actual salaries may vary based on factors, such as skill, experience, and qualification for the role. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, based on factors such as individual and team performance.
