Job Description

The Private Events & Sales Manager focuses on private dining reservations, storewide buyouts and partner events at an Eataly location. Reports to the Restaurant GM.

  • Generates events sales by scouting new business and maintaining relationships with existing clients
  • Serves as the point of contact for clients to plan events, develop contracts, detail events, and help the restaurant team to execute events
  • Manages a calendar of internal promotions, demonstrations, tastings and producer activities, working directly with Italian and domestic artisans occurring in the store
  • Works with all event vendors, including: florists, rental company, security
  • Works with Eataly operations team (Culinary, Front of House, Retail and Quick Service) on event preparation
  • Meets with clients for additional walk-throughs to finalize event details
  • Manages all catering requests which entails coordinating with our Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) team
  • Provides event recap and operation, sales and production suggestions to the team
  • Maintains fiscal responsibility in terms of rentals, supplies and labor
  • Coordinates production and distribution of event posters, flyers and marketing materials
  • Manages day-to-day catering requests and working closely with the QSR team to ensure proper execution of catering orders
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of experience in events sales
  • 2+ years of experience in event planning and/or production
  • 2+ years of experience restaurant private events

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Availability to occasionally attend workshops, tradeshows and conventions
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends
