Wealth Management Credit Operations supports the JPMorgan Private Bank, the premier service provider to ultra‑high net worth and high net worth clients. Our mission is to help clients optimize and preserve wealth across generations. WM Credit Operations delivers end‑to‑end support for the client’s credit lending experience, working closely with Lending Solutions, Risk, Legal, and Compliance.
The Professional Loan Program (PLP) Streamlined team sits within Wealth Management (WM) Credit Platform Services and operates as a center of excellence for high‑volume, lower‑risk PLP credit originations and modifications. The team enhances the client experience by facilitating timely credit approvals and expediting loan documentation and delivery.
Job Description
As an Associate level member of the PLP Streamlined Origination team and is accountable for the PLP origination process for new loans and amendments for PLP Borrowers. Core activities include credit analysis and approval; translation of loan terms into the firm’s risk system (iCRD); preparation of loan documentation; execution of due‑diligence requirements; and coordination for Loan Booking and Funding. Success requires close partnership across Lending and adjacent Operations functions.
Job Responsibilities:
- Apply a strong understanding of the PLP credit mandate to analyze and structure loans in accordance with policy guidelines.
- Advise market partners on client needs and feasible solutions within the PLP mandate.
- Assess borrower creditworthiness against eligibility criteria for PLP programs.
- Translate approved loan structures and terms into the firmwide risk system (iCRD) accurately and timely.
- Verify completion of all loan conditions and due diligence requirements prior to closing.
- Prepare complete, compliant legal closing documentation and closing packages in accordance with legal and regulatory guidelines.
- Partner with PLP Lending Solutions, Credit Risk, Credit Legal, and Operations to support business objectives.
- Champion process optimization, efficiency initiatives, and project management efforts to improve throughput/efficiency while enhancing quality of delivery.
- Achieve targets for the Production & Quality components of monthly KPIs, in line with departmental benchmarks.
- Meet defined SLAs and turnaround targets.
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant credit experience
- Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build effective partnerships with business stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills across all organizational levels.
- Demonstrated ability to assess processes and recommend/implement improvements.
- Strong understanding of controls and their role in maintaining an error‑free environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and SharePoint.
- Creative problem‑solving capabilities and data analysis skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
- Ideal candidates bring a solid understanding of credit lending, legal loan documentation, and closing activities across the credit lifecycle.
