Re‑architecting U.S. healthcare demands speed, precision, and an obsession with details. Cadence is building a remote care delivery system that keeps older people healthy, out of the hospital, and at home. By pairing each patient with a dedicated clinical team that reviews their health every day, versus every few months, we catch issues early and intervene before they escalate. The result: measurably better outcomes for patients and less administrative burden for clinicians.

Today, Cadence supports tens of thousands of  active patients nationwide. Our AI‑powered system and scalable clinical model enable proactive, population‑level care. We’re among the fastest‑growing companies in healthtech, and we’re just getting started.

The Cadence Solutions team is looking for an experienced attorney who lives at the intersection of healthcare privacy, cybersecurity, and fast-moving AI regulation. You will serve as the day-to-day legal partner to product, data, and security teams, ensuring that all uses of patient and consumer data comply with HIPAA/HITECH, state consumer-privacy statutes, and emerging federal and state AI frameworks. You’ll also be a key driver in ensuring rapid adoption of AI across the company and will need to be comfortable getting up to speed quickly in new areas of law and regulation.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

  • JD and active license in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
  • 5+ years focused on privacy, data security, and/or healthcare technology.
  • Deep working knowledge of HIPAA, HITECH, and state privacy statutes, with direct experience advising on product builds or integrations that leverage AI/ML.
  • Familiarity with AI risk-management frameworks.
Track record drafting BAAs, DPAs, playbooks, and incident-response plans.
  • Exceptional written/oral communication; ability to translate dense regulations into clear, business-savvy guidance for engineers and executives.
  • Ability to thrive in an environment founded on trust, autonomy and direct communication and feedback.
  • Excellent problem-solving capabilities, business judgment.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple demands and shifting priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CIPP/US, CIPM, HCISPP, CISSP, or similar certification.
  • Experience with FDA SaMD submissions, clinical-decision support tools, medical-device cybersecurity.
  • Background in digital health diligence processes, data-sharing agreements.

WHO WE ARE:

We move fast, raise standards, and own outcomes. We hire drivers, not passengers – people who take initiative, solve problems, and sweat the details because lives depend on it. Momentum matters in healthcare where slow decisions cost lives. At Cadence, we set a high bar and back each other relentlessly to clear it. If you’re ready to do the best work of your career and make a real impact in healthcare, join us.

WHAT YOU’LL GET:

  • Autonomy to tackle big, complex problems that matter
  • An opportunity to improve lives every single day
  • A chance to shape a category‑defining company at scale
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • Competitive total compensation and meaningful equity
  • TelaDoc (virtual primary care)
  • National and local discounts powered by TriNet
  • Unlimited PTO and paid holidays
  • Remote equipment setup and home office stipend
  • Paid Parental Leave
  • 401K and 401K match
  • Charitable Donation Match program
  • Expected compensation range: $180,000-$230,000 annual base salary
  • Location: Remote

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
