Job Description:

The Role

You will focus on business and system analysis, working directly with both technical and business partners to translate a vision and designs into sustainable business solutions. Acts as the main interface between end users, product management, and the systems' organization.

You will be responsible for the system design of sophisticated software applications, ensuring they are built with high quality standard.

You will work closely with the product owners, architects, developers to craft, build, test, and deliver the features that are used to manage Multi Asset Class Portfolios at scale.

  • Anticipating, discovering through ongoing interaction with, and prioritizing client / partner needs to serve as their voice and guide execution of the team

  • Defining, evaluating, and communicating results against acceptance criteria

  • Inspecting and evaluating progress, and removing impediments

  • Making informed trade-off decisions to strike the right balance between quality, cost, and timelines

  • A learning and growth mentality with a real passion for solving customer problems and delivering scalable solutions and designs

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Economics, or related field

  • 8+ years’ working experience.

  • At least 6+ working experience in a technology role

  • Experience working with Equities, Fixed Income or Multi-Asset Class products is considered a plus

  • You grasp sophisticated product features and break them into clear and concise stories with well-defined business value and acceptance criteria and optimally communicate these

  • You are capable of leading, influencing, and motivating colleagues without formal authority, and have a track record of building impactful teams

  • You establish and maintain relationships as you work collaboratively across Fidelity to deliver business outcomes and seek out the expertise of colleagues to advise on your approach

  • You have or are committed to developing a balance of technology and non-technology skills to fully appreciate the broad needs of our customers.

  • Experience with database query tools / SQL skills.

  • Patience in articulating business requirements to technical teams

  • Validating products builds against acceptance criteria and helping with Production support triaging

The Team

You work in partnership with the FAMS Investment Product Area Leader, Squad Leaders, Scrum Master, and Chapter Leaders aligned to your squad. By demonstrating and promoting Fidelity and agile leadership behaviors, you sustain and evolve our innovative agile culture. Your work will directly support the growing Institutional business in Fidelity Asset Management Solutions (FAMS) by enhancing an existing set of processes and developing new capabilities to support the growing demand from Fidelity’s institutional clients.
