The Impact of a Senior Principal, Strategic Engagements at Coupa:
Coupa is seeking a strategic and customer-focused Principal or Sr. Principal of Strategic Engagements to help shape and accelerate high-impact initiatives with our most important enterprise clients. In this highly visible role, you will engage directly with executive stakeholders to co-create transformation strategies that unlock the full value of Coupa’s industry-leading Business Spend Management (BSM) platform.
You will lead strategic workshops, develop executive deliverables, and serve as a trusted advisor across pre-sales and early value realization phases. Your work will influence digital procurement, supply chain, and finance strategies at some of the world’s most sophisticated organizations.
What You'll Do:
- Partner with Coupa’s enterprise customers to shape strategic initiatives and co-create a Strategic Value Roadmap that aligns business objectives with Coupa’s Business Spend Management (BSM) capabilities
- Design and facilitate executive-level workshops focused on opportunity identification, roadmap definition, and cross-functional alignment
- Create compelling executive deliverables including maturity assessments, business cases, value frameworks, and transformation playbooks
- Collaborate closely with sales, customer success, product, and professional services teams to ensure strategic continuity from vision through execution
- Support key pursuits and expansion opportunities by articulating Coupa’s value in the context of customer-specific goals
- Provide strategic guidance during early deployment stages to accelerate time-to-value and set the foundation for long-term success
- Stay current on procurement and supply chain trends, offering thought leadership that informs customer strategies and internal best practices
What You Will Bring to Coupa:
- 10+ years of experience in enterprise software, procurement/supply chain consulting, or value advisory roles
- Strong knowledge of the source-to-pay lifecycle and Business Spend Management domain
- Demonstrated success working with Fortune 500 clients and C-level stakeholders in complex, global organizations
- Exceptional workshop facilitation skills, with the ability to lead high-impact discussions and drive executive alignment
- Proven ability to create high-quality strategic deliverables that influence decision-making and investment
- Comfortable operating in fast-paced, matrixed environments with multiple stakeholders
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred
