Principal Software Engineer

Job Description:

The Role

As a Senior Performance Engineer, you will play a key role in providing performance testing services across a diverse set of applications, technologies, and teams. You will work closely with teams to test/deploy and optimize applications prior to its release and monitor and troubleshoot performance issues in production.

• Provide insight on application Performance defects.

• Provide Performance Test Sign-offs for release.

• Actively participate in ongoing production calls to analyze and triage infrastructure or application related issues.

• Work with our global team and provide feedbacks on performance.

The Expertise You Bring In

• 5+ years of experience as Performance Engineer

• Extensive hands-on experience with performance engineering, including use of JMeter, Gatling or similar tools.

• In-Depth knowledge of cloud technologies like AWS, EKS

• Experience working with Datadog for Monitoring, Troubleshooting, Creating Dashboards and alerts

• Experience with Continuous Testing and integrating into a CICD pipeline

• Comfortable with tools like SQL developer and running SQL queries for data analysis and monitoring

• Experience working in Agile Environment

• Self-motivated and collaborative in your approach

• Excellent communication skills to work with various teams across US and India

• Able to clearly communicate test results, findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders

The Skills that are Good to Have for this role

• Understanding of Kubernetes concepts

• Java development background

• Automating performance testing through CICD pipeline is preferred

• Kafka understanding

• Unix and Shell Scripting Basics
