The RoleAs a Software Developer with focus on software packaging and deployment, you will build and maintain software deployment solutions for our aspenONE software and push the deployment technology to make it easier for our customers to adopt our latest technologies.We are seeking a 5-7 years experienced Installation Developer with expertise in Windows and/or Linux environments to design, develop, and maintain software installation solutions. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of installation technologies, demonstrable programming skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in an agile development environment.Your Impact
- Design, develop, and maintain installation packages for Windows and Linux platforms.
- Utilize Windows Installer and other installation technologies to deliver robust, scalable solutions.
- Create, update, and maintain installation scripts using C#, PowerShell, Bash, and C++.
- Leverage InstallShield for advanced installation packaging and deployment tasks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define installation requirements and strategies.
- Work with container technologies to support modern deployment environments.
- Ensure installation processes integrate with version control systems (e.g., Git, Perforce) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Support database connectivity within installations for SQL and NoSQL systems.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve installation-related issues.
- Follow agile development practices to deliver high-quality, timely solutions.
- 5-7 years experience as an Installation Developer.
- In-depth knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Expert in container technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Extensive expertise with Windows Installer technology and InstallShield.
- Strong proficiency in C#, PowerShell, Bash (SH), and C++.
- Solid understanding of software deployment procedures and best practices.
- Experience working with agile development methodologies.
- Familiarity with database technologies (SQL, NoSQL).
- Experience with version control systems, such as Git and Perforce.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
