We are looking for a dynamic and results-oriented Principal Sales Engineer to support the growth of our Commercial HVAC portfolio—including VRF, Ductless, PTAC, and VTAC solutions—by developing strong relationships with specifying representatives, HVAC distributors, and key partners across the Northeast region. How You'll Create Possibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and manage relationships with specifying representatives to drive adoption of Haier’s Commercial Applied and VRF product lines.
  • Serve as a technical and sales resource to spec reps, engineers, mechanical contractors, and manufacturers' representatives to support project design and product selection.
  • Ensure proposed HVAC designs align with Haier product specifications and capabilities.
  • Educate architects, engineers, contractors, and other design professionals on Haier’s commercial HVAC solutions and their applications.
  • Maintain a robust project quote pipeline, support reps with timely follow-ups, and ensure consistent tracking of project status.
  • Develop and execute regional business and sales plans, aligning with overall growth objectives and sales targets.
  • Analyze performance metrics and hold partners accountable to established sales and volume commitments.
  • Represent GE Appliances at industry events, trade shows, and strategic customer meetings across the region and occasionally nationwide.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with other field sales teams to evaluate distributor readiness and alignment with commercial product strategies.
  • Stay informed on relevant AHRI and ASHRAE standards affecting product application and design.

What You'll Bring to Our Team

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent technical experience.
  • At least 7 years of experience in sales, applications support, or related business roles within the commercial HVAC industry.
  • Direct knowledge of VRF products, systems, and application-based selling.
  • Background working with VRF manufacturers, spec rep firms, or HVAC distributors focused on commercial systems.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills; comfortable leading training sessions and engaging with various stakeholders.
  • Collaborative mindset with a strong sense of initiative, accountability, and follow-through.
  • Ability to travel 30–40% across the region and nationally, as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field.
  • Proven experience in sales leadership, territory planning, and business development.
  • Skilled in influencing and coaching sales teams without direct reporting lines.
  • Attention to detail with strong analytical and strategic planning capabilities.
  • Experience managing and partnering with spec reps and manufacturer rep firms.
  • Deep technical knowledge of commercial HVAC/VRF systems and market applications.
