What you'll be responsible for:
Circle is seeking a Principal Product Manager to lead the strategy and end-to-end delivery of an AI-native platform. This role is pivotal in transforming our internal products & tools into a unified, composable platform that connects and scales seamlessly across all of Circle's internal systems and data services. You will oversee the design and development of various internal tools, data systems and partner with third party vendors to support the global compliance programs, finance programs, business and marketing ops systems and tools necessary for other strategic goals at Circle.
As the product leader, you will define the long-term product vision for a platform that enables modular, intelligent, and adaptive risk and compliance capabilities. You'll work cross-functionally with engineering, AI/ML, compliance, risk, finance, and operations teams to deliver internal systems that are secure, scalable, and intelligent by default. This role demands an entrepreneurial product thinker who thrives in complexity, has a deep technical and regulatory understanding, and can translate ambitious ideas into scalable product outcomes.
We are seeking someone with a demonstrated history of successfully launching several external user facing products and internal tools, owning and managing large, complex program areas and engaging with cross-functional teams, and numerous stakeholders, directly and through influence. The ideal candidate has extensive experience managing compliance and business tooling, systems and platform needs, ability to assess multiple competing needs and defining product strategy and demonstrated agility and ability to adapt to an ever-changing landscape.
What you'll work on:
  • Define and execute the product strategy for an AI-native platform that connects risk, compliance, and internal tooling into a single, composable ecosystem.
  • Partner with engineering, data, and AI/ML teams to platformize internal products, delivering modular services, APIs, and infrastructure that scale with the business.
  • Launch foundational RAG and tool‑calling services that connect LLMs to real‑time data and static files, enabling intelligent risk and compliance workflows and powering at least one customer‑facing feature.
  • Operationalize an automated evaluation & safety framework that achieves high prompt‑test coverage and surfaces unified usage, quality, cost, and latency dashboards.
  • Deploy AI‑driven compliance automation that lowers analyst total‑handling‑time and application submission time.
  • Deliver real‑time dashboards and alerts covering usage, cost, latency, and policy compliance-enabling data‑driven optimisation and budget stewardship.
  • Proactively identify business opportunities across the company, process gaps, roadblocks, bottlenecks, and inefficiencies that will negatively impact risk and compliance platform efforts and mitigate them.
  • Partner with all key stakeholders to define the product requirements, develop insights and write detailed user stories to deliver features and functionality to scale Circle's compliance functions.
  • Ensure that the platform delivers regulatory-grade performance and reliability, while accelerating innovation through composability and reusability.
  • Own the development and maintenance of all documentation that details the composition and inner workings of our various internal tools and systems.
  • Communicate product status, metrics, goals and performance clearly to internal stakeholders throughout the organization, including impacted teams

What you'll bring to Circle:
  • 10+ years of relevant product experience building platforms in scaled companies, including leading programs for Fintech or crypto businesses.
  • You are a creative product mind, an avid problem solver and a highly collaborative team member.
  • You are a self-starter and fast-moving when it comes to putting plans into motion - you don't need to work from a script.
  • You have mentored other product managers in the past. You have demonstrated experience influencing partners and executives in order to achieve results.
  • Highly quantitative, analytical, and business minded with a data-driven approach to decision making.
  • Executive presence with an ability to influence and work hands-on with other cross-functional team leaders, such as lawyers, engineers, product managers, data analysts, operations analysts in improving compliance processes and systems.
  • Build deep relationships and create strategic alliances to establish trust with key stakeholders across legal, risk, compliance, engineering, product etc. to accelerate delivery of risk and compliance initiatives.
  • Experience leading diverse teams in a complex, matrixed organization.
  • Deep experience and knowledge of traditional money laundering and terrorist financing typologies.

Starting pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to: relevant experience, skill set, qualifications, and other business and organizational needs. Please note that compensation ranges may differ for candidates in other locations.
Base Pay Range: $187,500 - $240,000
