As AI capabilities rapidly advance, Poe provides a single platform to instantly integrate and utilize these new models.

Behind these products are passionate, collaborative, and high-performing global teams. We have a culture rooted in transparency, idea-sharing, and experimentation that allows us to celebrate success and grow together through meaningful work. Join us on this journey to create a positive impact and make a significant change in the world.

This role will be working on our Quora product.

About the Team and Role:

Our product managers excel at and are responsible for guiding, enabling, and accelerating the efforts of our designers, engineers, and data scientists to build and ship successful products. Even though we've experienced significant growth, we're still a small team where each PM needs to own a significant portion of the product experience, so in this role, you'll have the opportunity to drive company-level impact, influence overall company strategy, and interface regularly with product leadership and the executive team.

We're looking for a Product Manager to lead user growth initiatives across Quora's core product experience, focused on expanding our top-of-funnel acquisition, improving activation, and unlocking new growth levers across web and mobile. This includes defining strategic direction, aligning cross-functional teams, running a high-velocity experimentation program, and generating insights that inform long-term platform and channel strategy.

Responsibilities:
  • Own the end-to-end strategy for user growth, with a primary focus on top-of-funnel acquisition, activation, and early retention across web and mobile surfaces

  • Drive SEO-led growth for the web product, partnering with engineering, content, and data teams to improve discoverability, indexation, and organic traffic performance as a core acquisition channel

  • Manage ambiguity, complexity, and cross-functional interdependencies in a fast-paced environment, doing what it takes to make the product successful

  • Partner closely with engineering, design, data science, and product operations to define, build, iterate, and scale growth experiences

  • Define objectives, metrics, and guardrails to guide prioritization and measure success

  • Run structured experimentation across the funnel, using quantitative and qualitative insights to inform product strategy and roadmap

  • Identify and unlock new growth levers; including referrals, lifecycle, and platform-specific opportunities to diversify channel mix and compound growth over time

Minimum Requirements:
  • Availability for meetings and impromptu communication during Quora's “coordination hours" (Mon-Fri: 9am-3pm Pacific Time)

  • 6+ years combined experience in Product Management

  • Demonstrated experience driving user growth on a consumer product, with a track record of measurable impact on acquisition, activation, or retention metrics

  • Excellent communication skills and intuition for communication strategy at every level -- within teams, within the company, to users, and other audiences

  • Demonstrated ability to use qualitative and quantitative data to drive decisions and scale products through experimentation

Preferred Requirements:
  • Experience working on user-generated content (UGC) platforms, marketplaces, aggregators, or content-driven consumer products

  • Experience growing UGC products with heavy SEO traffic and a strong understanding of organic search as an acquisition channel

  • BA/BS degree in Statistics or a related technical field or equivalent practical experience ideal

At Quora, we value diversity and inclusivity and welcome individuals from all backgrounds, including marginalized or underrepresented groups in tech, to apply for our job openings. We encourage all candidates who share a passion for growing the world’s knowledge, even those who may not strictly meet all the preferred requirements, to apply, as we know that a diverse range of perspectives can have a significant impact on our products and our culture.

Additional Information:

We are accepting applications on an ongoing basis.

Quora offers a wide range of benefits including medical/dental/vision coverage, equity refreshers, remote work reimbursement, paid time off, employee assistance programs, and more. Benefits are country-specific and may vary.

There are many factors that will determine the starting pay, including but not limited to experience, location, education, and business needs.

  • US candidates only: For US based applicants, the salary range is $196,080 - $298,300 USD + equity + benefits.

  • Canada candidates only: For Toronto and Vancouver based applicants, the salary range is $250,703 - $305,119 CAD + equity + benefits. For all other locations in Canada, the salary range is $233,989 - $284,778 CAD + equity + benefits.

We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status.

AI technology may assist in sorting applications and recording interview notes, but all decisions are made by a member of our team.

To ensure a secure hiring process, all final candidates will undergo identity verification and a comprehensive background check prior to onboarding.

  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
